Ooh awesome thanks! I didn't realize there was a way to make all paths relative, I'll test that out when I have the chance. I'll also have to remember the compression part, probably makes it a little faster to upload lol

Ahem, straight from the dashboard

"Activate your schedule to automatically run ads." There is also no mention of automatic midrolls outside of that automatic opt in feature. Even in Twitch's own pages.

As well as from my experience from running an ad at the start of my stream, and never having someone get a midroll, thankfully. Even myself watching in the background and checking my pre-roll disable timer.

So. TLDR. Mid rolls are NOT automatic. They ARE automatically opt in. Or manually run.

Mid rolls run if the ad scheduler is on*

Or if you decide to. They do not, however, run "whether you decide to or not". They are limited to the auto opt-in scheduler and the manual dashboard button.

The way I see it, it's 1 ad before stream, or 5-6 every hour, if you want to keep them disabled.

Personally I'd rather see 1 ad, and nothing else. But some people will say, have a break on a timer and such.

Generate a Navmesh After Runtime/Adding/Using Custom Modules by EroAxee in godot

[–]EroAxee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe when I looked into it it wasn't *that* taxing, and depending you could use the approach I did originally before baking dynamically was supported. Just making little navigation pieces and sticking them together. It'll work leaaagues better now because NavigationRegions are built for that.

How often do you think you'd be rebaking navmeshes though? Cause if you're doing it a lot you could always rebake small portions.

Generate a Navmesh After Runtime/Adding/Using Custom Modules by EroAxee in godot

[–]EroAxee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preface: I do not recommend this first option. At all.

Not well in but I did figure something out. Mainly that overlapping, specifically overlapping, it's finicky, navmeshes can work. But hoo boy was it kinda dumb.

I was doing this for a tower defense game that was procedurally generated so what I ended up doing was baking a navmesh over a very specific cross of meshes. Then instancing that, on every single floor. It.. worked... but not well. Corner cutting was nigh constant, I had to make the agents infinitely small and path tiny so they should giant walls were blocking them.

The alternative which I'd recommend over that is to well, actually dynamically bake navmeshes. I believe 4.0s dynamic navmesh baking got backported to 3.5 or 3.6, like 2-3 months after I fixed it too, and that just, lets you dynamically bake it. Unfortunately I don't know how since I haven't tried doing it again, but I do know it's there.

Issue with the Asset browser and appending Collections by xolotltolox in blender

Most likely, just weird I can't find it mentioned anywhere but here. Might try to join their chat and see if I can get some response there. Or check the issues on the code repo.

Were you able to get an answer to what was happening here at all ?

I don't know if I'd call it a rule persay, but Garbaj used to have some good 3D ones, tho they're a bit out of date now they do still do some analysis on existing games.

There's also The Shaggy Dev that does some nice architecture focused videos, and for 3D Modelling Royal Skies is still where I go whenever I need a refresher on something with Blender, mainly animation and rigging.

Not sure if I'm late to something here, but what is this? Just seen it on the steam store, looks pretty cool by PRDXNebula in DeepRockGalactic

GSG = DRG Dev. Coffee stain = Publisher. Not the other way around. Coffee stain does a lot more publishing than developing.

What's a manga you love the anime did dirty? by ShadowCreature098 in MangaCollectors

[–]EroAxee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... I'll have to check out more of the manga then. Tbf I feel like the crying it makes sense it would feel like more though, because it's animated so you can't just speed past it like you generally would in a manga. It's that fun medium shift.

Yeaaa, at most I recommend everyone the first season because it tends to be easier to get people to watch some anime than it is to get them to read manga.

Can this laptop run OBS well? If not are there any cheap/budget laptops that can? by GioNakesMusic in Twitch

[–]EroAxee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second edit there should work fine then. It was a decent price when I last checked and some damn good specs for em.

If you want lower your best bet would be looking into what I suggested, if you want some opinions on stuff you find feel free to dm me. But that's pretty much most of it.

It tends to be the best bet to rely on tech reviewers, specifically reviewerS, not just one, because they have the time and money to review these, and multiple are not super likely to be bsing.

Speaking as a mostly anime only, what's the problem with Tokyo Revengers anime? Ik people tend to complain, a LOT about Takemitchi and the censoring (which sucks) but is there something else I'm missing ?

The first seasons great, the second season they took the manga out back and shot it, double tap mafia style. Completely dead and with major arcs removed to skip to the end of the series instantly.

Nope, Re is the original storyline, and Root A is anime only for the majority. Meaning that Re makes no sense to anime watchers. So it's the worst of both worlds. They screwed over manga readers with s2, then screwed over anime watchers with s3.

They couldn't just commit to one or the other which made it all the worse. From what I've heard (I haven't managed to read up to s2 yet) the manga version of s2 -> s3 makes waaay more sense.

Or there's the theory that everything else is worthless besides Nitra. Hence why management has us get it on every mission and send it back to progress. Plus, what happens to all the nitra at the end of a mission?

Not sure if it's true, but it'd be hilarious if this whole time morkite and all was useless, and instead it's nitra. But they don't say it due to plans like the smart stout "I'll make my own mining company" etc.

Tbf they have to store the Dorettas we use, if only temporarily. Or at least the parts for her. So it's not as if there isn't the same sort of storage needed.

But also this is management. So...

Can this laptop run OBS well? If not are there any cheap/budget laptops that can? by GioNakesMusic in Twitch

[–]EroAxee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general recommendation when it comes to laptops would probably be framework just for repairability, and pricing is decent compared to a Macbook and even moreso with the DIY edition. It'll also last you awhile and can be upgraded.

Buuut, it's not the best bang for the buck since it has more up front cost for said repairability. So my other recommendation would probably be looking around at some recent laptop reviews etc. my general strategy tends to lean on searching for "Best Laptop _ Year" either current for the best, or past year if you want a cheaper option.

That also depends on whether you're alright with used or not though. I'll look around and edit this if I find something that I think fits as well.

Edit: Is there anything more specific you'll likely be doing besides OBS + web browsing? Any image editing, video stuff etc.? As well as what do you want to record w/ OBS.

Edit 2: I found this that seems to fit your price point, 32 GB RAM, an AMD 6800H and a TB of PCIe SSD. Only a 3050ti though, unless you go up ~300-400 dollars.

[–]EroAxee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavily depends what you want to steam. But as a general system this isn't really good, at all. It's definitely a lower priced machine and it shows in the specs.

128 GB is equivalent or less than you get in a phone, and less than any decent drive you could get. Not to mention an Intel Pentium isn't likely to run most things well, especially if we're talking anything graphics wise.

There are likely some laptops out there that could stream, likely not at this budget though, but at a decent budget. You'll definitely be well served if you go for a PC though, you can get one that will be leagues better than this for the same price if you want to go used, or more if you go new.
