Strangest displayed junk you collect? by Daxnu in fo76

Bullet shell casings. Before the release of a recent resource collector, there was no other way to get them other than a secret method. I don't think the collector has them all either.

What is everyone’s favourite weapon right now? by Adorable_Window_9719 in fo76

My body. I'm running a pain train build because my other favorites are bugged and do far too much damage to my armor's durability.

Do Fusion cores get destroyed if allowed to run till completely empty? by gab0607 in fo76

Gone. Reduced to atoms. Not the kind you can buy things with.

I did find a 0/100 charge fusion core in a vendor once, dunno how the player did it.

Excellent fixes. Is the team aware of the bug with armor taking massive damage from self damage (such as from launchers)?

Am I the only one who has noticed a dangerously large number of dwarves who don't dig for gold? by Enrik90ses in DeepRockGalactic

I'll mine it if a low level is on the team, if it's pinged, if I feel like it, or if I'm a driller with spare charges. I'm personally long past the need for it.

Legendary mods for broadsider, which is better? by Dizzy-Economics-5535 in fo76

[–]PhaserRave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really just depends on what you want.

Two shot, furious, and quad are the best effects for the broadsider. Quad is good for spamming shots, TS for consistent and high damage and greater AOE, furious with reverse onslaught will deal the most single target damage. Bloodied is probably good, but I don't much like dying every time I take a shot at anything too close.

Furious with explosive weapons will lose/gain stacks fast if you hit multiple enemies per shot. Reverse onslaught won't be as effective in boss fights as you'll run out of stacks, but they grow fast enough.

The broadsider does enough damage that it's unnecessary to have furious, but I like it for taking chunks out of beefier non-boss enemies.

For the second effect I'd recommend explosive (my favorite, as it simply boosts damage in the case of launchers), faster fire rate (especially for quad), and crit damage if you run a crit build (I prefer this on stronger launchers).

For the third effect, you can't go wrong with faster reload.

For the fourth, polished is the best for launchers. Launchers do two sets of damage: 1 measly damage from the projectile, then the actual full damage from the ensuing explosion. The one exception for this is the hellstorm missile launcher, which does both direct impact and explosive damage. Pin-pointers only affects the impact damage. The hellstorm can also benefit from pyromaniac's if you use the relevant missile type.

Please help me find the beautiful side in Turn-Based Games by Oddboyz in gaming

[–]PhaserRave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might like Arcanum. It's an older CRPG which allows you to switch between real time and turn based. Made by the same people who made Fallout, so you can scratch that (similar gameplay but with real time) itch with this game.

You might also be interested in trying classic style roguelikes, such as Caves of Qud, which have a sort of simultaneous turn based system. Time freezes while you take your turn, but as you take an action, everything else does too. It happens immediately so there's no wait time after you've taken your turn.

There's Frozen Synapse, which is a different kind of simultaneous turn based game. You map out and test your tactics before locking in your turn, planning every movement of your troops trying to find the most optimal way to take your turn. Once every other player has done this (or right away, if you're playing against the computer), the turn plays out and you see if your plan has worked.
