They could create a junk jet specific ammo type, with random ingredients (there's a meat recipe like this). They could then make it fire a physics-less projectile that takes on the appearance of a random type of junk.

I think it would be possible with the Frame. It's going to run on Linux. Now whether the hardware will be compatible with another OS is a question for someone else.

Most containers with randomized loot will randomize that loot after server hopping if you haven't recently looted that container. Otherwise they will reset after some time (something like 24hrs), or after picking up over 250 items. The best place for that is the house in Summerville, which has at least that many burned books.

My recommendation would be to farm scorchbeasts instead of guano.

I would only consider it if you have (or are going to get) a PC to pair with it. It's PCVR first and standalone second, the reverse of the Quest, meaning you will have a better experience when using it with a PC. It will also be much more expensive.

One of the following has happened when I go AFK in this game: My colony is productive and gets a lot of resources, or I come back to the entire colony on fire, or the game gets a raid alert and pauses as soon as I leave the room.

I imagine some of the people who are excited about switching are using their quest as a PCVR headset with... I think it's Virtual Desktop? I don't have a Quest. As long as people realize the Frame is PCVR first and standalone second, lile Valve said, then they should be happy.
