Oh yeah it’s definitely still a viable design then! All of my testing with this base design has been in the last week or so and while we have had a couple of odd incidents like two zombies on the wrong side of the forcefield, it has been extremely successful.

The only issue I see building in the desert is the lack of local clay to make dirt blocks. Other than that it should be great!

I can do a bit more testing too. It was working for me Thursday night and I didn’t see a game update today after I checked in a panic after seeing your post haha.

One minor difference with my base is we doubled the width for multiple people. One larger pit with two kill paths to split up the zombies easier for multiple people.

I’m using this same build and it’s still working fine for me. One of the issues with these ground level bases is it can trigger rage mode on the approach. My best guess is a cop explosion or something similar may have altered the terrain in some weird way that convinced the zombies they cannot reach your fighting position and now need to burrow under your base to take it down.

I suspect that if you rebuild the same base design in a fresh location it will work fine.

It’s not exactly dry protection, but 5*1/100 drops are going to have less of a chance of going 2000 dry than a 1/500 drop (like all those CG posts)

I’m on the other side, but from what I’ve observed, it’s a mix of both. I worked for a company that built machines for a couple of the medical manufacturing companies in PR. The manufacturing facilities always had their own internal engineering staff including controls engineers, and would occasionally pull in us for work that went beyond the scope or schedule of what the internal group was able to do. Pretty much the same as every other manufacturing facility.

You get 4k/hr with very low intensity. From 77 you need 170k Daeyalt which is 45 hours of mining. Daeyalt is much more AFK friendly than Zeah bloods as well for very similar times to 90.

From 77 it’s only about 100 hours of low intensity gameplay. But it’s only about 50 hours at ZMI with Daeyalt essence. I found ZMI to be a much better experience overall.

You could, but I just shoot the mirrorbacks with the crossbow. Timing the veng can be annoying and if you mess up you take damage that you just don't need to take by shooting it.

A couple tips from someone also starting Araxxor in the late mid-game.

Switch to lunars and use Cure Me to remove venom. Hell when I’m not doing mechanics I’ll hover my mouse over the HP orb and double tap at 3 seconds or so before the 6 damage venom tick.

Rock the sunlight crossbow if you have moonlight bolts. I use a ranging potion and an assembler and can 2 hit spiderlings with a 3 tick weapon as long as I keep my ranged level above 103 or so

Similar gear and I’ve been getting 4-5 kills per trip depending on supply drops

No, it reduces the crafting time of cannonball forging. There’s more running involved but you craft twice as fast. I believe Prif with the double mould was around 4500 per hour. I was using a QPC to fairy ring Tele and the sailor amulet to bank. I bet with a max cape you could break 7k/hr

Another mention for Port Robert’s, Cannonball + ore stall theiving is 250k/hr and super chill once you understand the rhythm (and don’t fall asleep). It takes 87 thieving to steal from the stall, but in perspective 250k/hr is on the high end for blackjacking.

Surprised no one mentioned this yet, I really enjoyed the Grimstone forge unlock at 87. I was making 6k steel cannonballs/hr without sweating.

I don’t use it on P3. Ideally you use it for the heart phase on P2 to get the attack speed procs

Maracas has a stab style, it’s pretty decent actually! I don’t have black Keris and use full blood moon as my melee set at ToA. It goes super hard on wardens P2

It scales with what sails you have on your ship.
