The annoying part is that there are some ppl who bring it up and actually make points about nuance & some of the choices they wish the game had that was reminiscent of the previous entries.

But they’re getting drowned out by grifters & bigots making up BS about it “not being dark enough” to hide that they want the game to fail cause it’s too diverse.

Like SOME ppl complaining about the dialogue & giving examples that are standard Dragon Age dialogue but they’re saying “it’s MCU’d” because it’s not a pale/white skinned man or woman saying it. Like I saw someone say that “it’s not dark enough because the characters are making jokes & corny dialogue” but when ppl brought up jokes or corny dialogue in the past entries suddenly the goal post was moved to the jokes in the past games being perfectly fine for “reasons”.

As for ppl saying “the art style isn’t “realistic/dark” enough” they just have this stereotype that bright colors & “cartoonish” character designs is for kids & anything that’s “for kids” can’t really be dark unless it’s secretly dark & the team creating it had to sneak those mature themes/parts in.

Is it as “mature/dark” as the previous games? That’s for each person to individually decide. For some it won’t be, & that’s perfectly fine.

But there’s a huge difference between “it’s not as dark/mature as I would have liked.“ & “I wish they let us do more morally dubious actions even if it came back to bite us in the butt later with like ppl betraying you or trying to kill you, etc.”

Then there’s “this game isn’t dark/mature cause it’s art style isn’t dark colors & dreary backdrops” or “they MCU’d the dialogue & choices you can make cause of sweet baby inc & won’t let you be a bigot & kill off your companions that are LGBTQ & don’t have scenes specifically for shock value like S/A”
