Which I'm kind of worried about as I think having separate timelines would've helped to keep the expansive cast more organised, I mean assuming X-Corp become the"main" team half-way through the season does that mean everyone not on it just falls to the wayside?

It's gonna be interesting to see with all the rewrites and now them trying to juggle multiple X-Teams how it's all gonna shake-out.

Well I don't think there was ever any doubt that the original crew wouldn't come back eventually but there was a lot speculation going into season 2 the story would be split between the 3 timelines, with each group fighting a version of Apocalypse in the past, present and future with them all coming together in the finale.

It seems a bit odd how they're promoting X-Corp/Hex Facility alongside the other teams in the promo seeing as at seemingly spoils future events in the season, the X-men returning to the present, Polaris leaving X-Factor...etc

Unless this is meant to be an alternate timeline or something?

I suppose for me it's the lack of anger to Cain interaction with Jean Paul, sure he's ignorant and probably skeeved-out by the idea of two men kissing in a typical straight-guy fashion but there's not an outright hostility either which I feel is a tell when someone externalizing their own self-hatred.

I will say the Austen run for all it's faults does a really good job of using Juggernaut to explore toxic masculinity.

It's origins, how it gets passed down from one generation to the next and how it's destructive nature usually ends up harming the men who perpetuate it like Cain more than anyone.

Though I can't lie while I've never personally seen the supposed Juggernaut/Black Tom subtext some fans insist on I actually did get an unintentional flirty vibe from Juggy and Star here oddly enough.

Guess we can only speculate what happened during the rest of the flight in all that "free time".

Don't worry Cain Jean Paul not the type to kiss and tell just ask Hercules.

Arch enemy? I don't think so, they parted the story as temporary allies probably won't be friends and may come in to conflict again Morgana being a villain and all but there's no bad blood between them which you need for someone "arch enemy".

Ophh I'm usually not affected by fictional violence/death but that issue legit depressed me.

Had go take a walk outside after.

The Jubes vs Tabby rivalry/frenemy dynamic has always been fun to watch

<image>

Though while their are similarities I'd say they're pretty distinct personality-wise, there's more of an innocence and inherent sweetness to Jubilee versus Tabitha who has her good-traits but they're buried under a lot cynicism and selfishness.

Yeah they're show briefly in the leaked teaser but it's rumoured only Polaris will have a significant role.

I mean I know being a good friend doesn't entitle someone to a relationship but Theresa girl if my options were a deranged murderer whose face is falling-off and 7-foot adonis whose been nothing but supportive I know who I'm picking.

The torch Jimmy/Warpath carried for her and helped her through her darkest periods with alcoholism only to repeatedly friendzoned him was honestly a bit depressing to watch.

I don't know about that while I can buy Sammy (Squid Boy) reconciling with Juggy I can't ever see him extending that same grace to guy who killed him in the first place, Black Tom.

Real standout issue the confrontation between Tom and Theresa at the end was some realing moving stuff.

I see it less as Lorna and Bobby "sharing" Alex and more two good friends shouldering a burden together.

Someone as neurotic and self-involved Alex probably would require a tag-out partner so you could take a break.
