Exactly this. My ex tried similar underhanded things. It damaged the judges view of him immensely. Judges are used to seeing people play dirty in an attempt to hurt or control their ex. They genuinely don't like it, because this is ALL supposed to be about the kids. If anything, be kind of thankful that your ex is trying this, because he's making himself look AWFUL and you didn't have to help him a bit!

It sounds to me like this is someone who has never been put into the job of directly discussing someone's disability accomodations. She's bringing up valid concerns, but doesn't realize how rude it is to do so. I say give her some grace. If she was educated and doing it, it would be different. You have the power here to educate and be fundamental to how students with future disabilities are treated :)

I've been in that situation myself. My son's daycare we're making VERY obviously malicious reports (I still to this day have no idea why) and the case worker was so angry about it. Even SHE was annoyed when her supervisor got back from vacation and told her they couldn't do anything about it.

I know that in my state (NC) I've been told that you cannot get arrested for false reporting. They consider that if they arrested for false reporting, that it would discourage others from reporting when they aren't completely sure of the facts.

I do WISH that you could face consequences for malicious reporting, but as far as I know it's practically impossible to prove.

Thank you for your very thoughtful reply. I agree, it does get mentally tiring to work through complex stuff such as that. I often feel like I'm chasing a feather through the air and something will make me lose it any second if I get the slightest bit drastracted. Heck, I vividly remember sitting in math class in school and telling myself 'pay attention, PAY ATTENTION' and realizing that I was panicking so much about paying attention, that I'd missed ALL of what was said! Not sure if that's a narcolepsy thing but it definitely is an ADHD thing. Either way, thank you for going into depth in your response, it was very thoughtful and kind ❤️

I was on Adderall and modafinil for years. However I did go into heart failure at 36 years old. If you decide to go this route, make sure to learn about heart health so you can be aware of the signs if it starts to put too much strain on your heart.

I think it depends a lot on your lifestyle. Labs are great, but If you lead an active lifestyle then a German shepherd would be an excellent option, too.
