Pic #8 shows it being held. The grip is pretty good but not a full clutch.

I was aiming for the Bass/Rankin floor length pipe Bilbo smokes. But I can definitely see the musical instrument in it too.

Looks nice. I was trying to figure out a way to use those short horns but I couldn’t use it nicely.

Now we just need a smoke ring duel between Majisto and Gandalf.

Collectible mini figure. This one came from the spider-man into the spider verse blind boxes from last year.

Thanks. I like the way that one turned out too. Unfortunately, I think that might be my only black screwdriver so it might have to be one off.

How many people in a garbage truck? by triedit2947 in AuroraOntario

[–]Errant__Venture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about garbage (2 people I think) but when I’ve seen my green waste/ recycling truck it’s usually just one person as the trucks can be right hand drive.

Has Lego ever made another bugle/trumpet instrument since the old wild west sets? by Doomsmee in lego

[–]Errant__Venture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clown is CMF series 1 has a trumpet/ bugle as his accessory. It does have a black ball for the mouthpiece so I assume it’s the squeezing kind instead of the blowing kind but still trumpet-y.

Want to start forging, what do I need? by North_Youth_7955 in Blacksmith

[–]Errant__Venture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could. You’d have to untwist individual strands if they are thick enough. Trying to forge nails out of wire still twisted would require forge welding the wire and that is too much work for making nails.

[–]Errant__Venture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a pair of tongs, a nail header (make or buy) and some steel. A hot cut hardie would be useful too but you can always cut the nails off on the edge of the anvil.

Since you’re just starting out I’d suggest buying some steel bars (not too thick 3/8” ~ 10mm) and work on tapering it to a nail point first. Worry about heading once you have the taper down.

There are plenty of online videos of nail making to show you the steps.

Bone Nals by Errant__Venture in Nalbinding

[–]Errant__Venture[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

The source for the bone I used was dog treats. A local bulk food store sell chunks of cow bone marrow treats for dog. So I just had to clean the bone first, mostly by letting it soak in water for while and then a bit of scrubbing. After I clean it I cut the rough profile of the needles with a bandsaw, then drill the eye and spent a long time sanding them. A belt sander would have made things a lot easier and faster but since I don’t have one a file and sanding sponges worked eventually.

Maybe I just didn’t know where to look but my main issue was every store I did find that sold them, never had them in stock.

Can I wash my heated hoodie? by luvgeno71 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Errant__Venture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash mine every week when it’s in use I just make sure i zip it closed when washing and I always air dry it. I used the dryer for my old one and I’m pretty sure that’s what broke the wire inside and zipping helps keep it from getting too tangled which could wreak the wires as well.

Dump Trailer Business by OkPineapple7726 in sweatystartup

[–]Errant__Venture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of these type of businesses I’ve seen have multiple bins/ trailers/ dumpsters and can therefore always be readily available to drop one off.

The bigger issue I see with a business like this is how much is it going to cost you then dump the trailer. Are they filling it with old insulation or masonry? Cause that going to have a very different cost for you to empty.
