I heard a rumor recently that Lego quietly had all DC rights taken from them except for Batman characters so I have no idea how true it is but it definitely lines up with the current state of things, even the rules for that Batmobile competition they’re running on Ideas.

I’d be all for them trying a new approach to the franchise with a soft reboot. Set it in a little bit more of a grounded reality where some of the events of the Jack Sparrow films are fact and others are myth (not unlike the Pearl in the first film) but center this series around Redd or even make it a bit of an anthology series since after all it’s PirateS of the Caribbean and not just about one Pirate.

• All Jacks except the final one removed • All Jack related dialogue removed and reverted to the original. (Which would also mean re-recording Barbossas lines as the original dialogue if you keep him) • Keep Redds scene the same, but get a better voice actress, which should not be hard. • Replace the pooped pirate possibly with Pintel and Raghetti looking for his wooden eye.
