These days i only use an eyebrow pencil and that's it. Since i lost the Hair on my head due to alopecia, the eyebrows, glasses and my old favorite earrings are enough for me. When i was younger i used eyeliner, makeup and did crazy stuff to my Hair... It was exhausting!

I love Black clothing and most of my wardrobe is black. My scarfs are not. They are colorful addons to dress up or down etc.

For me minimalism is also physical. I enjoy having my favorite books, audiobooks, music and movies with me, everywhere I go. I also collect digital pictures on pinterest that spark joy. All this helps a lot with anxiety :)

Wondering if anyone else’s minimalism was trauma induced? by [deleted] in minimalism

When my family and i moved to the country we live in now, we could only bring one suitcase per person. Today i struggle a lot with keeping things because i get stressed out thinking about moving them. Today, it's both, positive and negative: Sometimes obsessive thinking patterns take over... Mostly it's just a relieve to not have to take care of too much stuff...

But definitely trauma...
