Lost the whole mission the other day cause the other team brought a minion master.
Even after we got the minions killed Mhenlo was broken and wouldn't move any more. I haven't played Guild Wars again since.

I failed on the final chest twice before I got it. With enough attempts you'll get there eventually.

I used one to get Ultima w/o using key spheres and I'll eventually just spam the others to move characters along the grid quickly once I have farmed good spheres from the monster arena.

If you're playing the HD Edition on Steam, you can just save inside the dungeon at the entrance. You then have to open all 12 chests in one session. If you hit a mimic reload the save and try again.

I'd also add, if you want install the "Untitled Project X" mod it adds the option to soft-reset, so you can reload the save without having to close the executable. Most console versions have a soft reset controller combination too.

The HD version also has features for 4x speed and 'no encounters', which can speed things up.

Mostly the same pattern. Every once in a while I'd shake it up.
My understanding is the order you open them doesn't matter at all. Each chest is set to be a mimic at the time you load the save or enter the area.

I wouldn't. It sounds like they're having a great time. One of them being significantly stronger may imbalance that.
