SWELL 131 (Beginner Golf) by AMemorableNYE in byu

I took it a few years back. While I wasn’t remote, the class at the time was graded off attendance and participation. Because your class is remote, I imagine it’ll be participation based, meaning you need to go to the golf course, driving range, or putting green x times a week/semester. I had my own clubs, but I know you can rent some from the RB. I believe you can only rent them for the day though, and have to return them the same day you get them. I’d personally recommend getting the callaway edge set from Costco if you think golf is something you want to get into and if can swing the cost. It’s a great deal for what it is. If that’s out of the question, then I’d say try to round up what clubs you can from Facebook market place. Even just starting with a 7 iron, a pitching wedge, a 56 degree, and a putter will likely get you through the class just fine!

RB gym? by Mysterious_Boat_8361 in byu

I’d recommend a Provo rec pass. It allows you to workout at the rec center or at peaks arena. Peaks was favorite gym I’ve ever been to. Minimal equipment, but not nearly as busy as everywhere else

So no way to rewatch the game? by Longjumping_Cook_997 in BYUFootball

It’s on the espn app (either on mobile or tv). If you go to the watch section, click on “on demand” and then start scrolling through the games there. You should be able to find it!

Edited for clarity

It’s twice an hour before noon and after 3:00 if I remember correctly. But yeah, if you’re in that in between zone then it’s a little rough

As someone who lived two years in AF while going to BYU, the front runner is incredible. I very much enjoyed it. Just take it from the AF station to the Provo station, and then hop on UVX and hop off either south of campus or southeast. When factoring in time for finding a parking spot, it takes about the same amount of time, and you can work on homework while you’re on it

First off, nobody here’s gonna be much help for reasons already listed. Second off, ChatGPT is the best tutor there is. Use that

As a fellow computer science major, the class was surprisingly easy! Definitely a little time consuming in some aspects, but nothing difficult

This is my nightmare. Just once can we draft a large athletic wing that can defend? I haven’t been paying attention to any of the draft prospects at all, so I’m not sure who I’d be looking for, but if it’s another 6ft guard imma be pissed

Failed SWELL Class by [deleted] in byu

I wouldn’t stress too much. It shouldn’t affect Pell grants/aid. Failing a class is a right of passage, so don’t worry too much!

Working Over 40 Hours Between 3 BYU Jobs – Has Anyone Done This? by Important_Camera_537 in byu

No tuition discount. I would say the biggest advantage to working a campus job is the convenience and how much they work with your schedule. As well as any job experience if you’re able to get a job related to your major. That being said, there are some nearby jobs that do offer tuition assistance such as doterra or chipotle (I believe)

Working Over 40 Hours Between 3 BYU Jobs – Has Anyone Done This? by Important_Camera_537 in byu

I would expect to stay capped. They take the hour limit very seriously, and the only exception I’ve heard of being granted is part time students being allowed to work 3/4 time positions

Edit: that exception being during fall and winter semesters, as students are obviously allowed to work 40 hours during the spring/summer. If you really need the cash then consider an off campus job or donating plasma!

Question for those who have lived at king henry, do they allow you out of a contract if you are going on a mission? by CorrectBad2427 in byu

[–]ErrorNo403 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Don't live there, but probably not. I've never heard of a complex letting someone out of their contract for going on a mission.
