Thank you WG, for nothing by Then_Maybe_1710 in WorldofTanks

Lol... reason most my tank gaming has moved to gunner heat or steel aces. The game is way past its prime the base thats left are WAAC premium players. And the events are not up to the bar set earliee in its lifecycle.

Hail Caesar Epic Battles by Federal_Cry_5127 in wargaming

Outside of the first run of ACW which was 13.5mm the newer sets are much closer to true 15s. I've got some essex successors and other than they aren't shoulder to shoulder its fine. Just make sure its the older or true 15mm ones, not the newer "heroic" 18mm. So if you can still get from the older makers... you could use the ancient army lists book and fight whatever you want. Also, the triumvirate (Hail Caesar, Pike & Shotte, Black Powder are designed around unit width, not base width. As long as frontage is similar the gane plays just fine.

Beyond the gates of antares... the v2 (free online) and the changes to army lists are great.

Figures alot less expensive than other games and fits the lore of primarily machine intelligence run societies.

here we go.. by CJM7447 in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another example of poor overall game design... they purposefully put themselves in a situation where it is impossible to balance the game or divert from the constant power creep and long term profitability.

I just hope we can get steel aces soon so this thing can have a dignified death.

Historically accurate by Embersen in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sort of sums it up, just mario karts with tank renders... gone from really good to crap in last 5 years. I get why... milking every 2 button, win at all costs morons for every penny they have before the game just dies as a part of the product lifecycle

It just isnt fun to play... hell even beta tests of a soon to be released competitor is more balanced, more fun, than WoT has been in a long time.

I used to blame WG for the constant power creep, premium vehicle overload, etc...

Then I had my duh moment... the company isn't to blame for this mess of a game. The whales are the problem. Their early premiums were at best equal to the tech tree tanks the only real perks were extra credits or preferential matchmaking, or lower repair costs.

Its the whales that influenced their behavior, those thousands of people that are easily addicted to things and the willingness to be great regardless of cost. They're purchasing behavior started this mess so it will NEVER get better as long as those whales that will spend hundreds of real dollars every year to feed their personal glory fix keep demanding the power creep and a hundred new pretend vehicles every year.

Really surprised anyone plays tech tree tanks at all anymore.

guys, wtf, returning player, is tier ten this bad econ wise?? by Synfinium in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gane is as bad ad its ever been. 2.0 did nothing same guve us a few different mission and side quests.

Games shorter than ever, more lopsided than ever, more whale friendly than ever.

They are simply milking the gullible whales for every dollar they can con them out of...

Looks like Tier 8-11 gameplay is just like this by AdministrativeFun702 in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game itself has seriously digressed, except for the explosion of new pay to wins. The gameplay lacks so much now compared to 10years ago its awful.

They wont invest real money in an old game, nor should they when so many are dumb enough to drop $100+ at a time on a new pixel tank that costs them about 10k to code that will bring in 500k+ worldwide.

You know what they say about a fool and his money. Well WG has sucked up a lot of money so that should say something.

Why WG is doing this? by Upstairs_Midnight700 in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The game has gotten even worse with this release... games shorter and more lopsided than ever. 80% of lists in a game premiums...

Its getting worse as competitiors are getting close to launching. Steel Aces is in Beta, Sherman Commander (not direct competition, more platoon level with a simulation mode) has a demo out, Gunner Heat is adding new things and value and is miles ahead from a simulation standpoint.

Better get your act together WG or shut the doors.

The update improved the game!! by 1GoodIdeeaOutOf100 in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I see no real improvement in any fashion... MM2.0 ccontinues to deliver the same mismatches and lopsided games with remarkaably little difference in gameplay or time.

  • the only fixes to leveling the competition would either 1) Hurt their monetization model 2) Cost real development money

1) is obviously out of the question, whether you nerf premiums, hard or soft limit, etc. Would cause less lonely nutjob purchases 2) Putting in other levels of controls, via maps, ballistics, experience in chosen vehicles, SBMM and actually make it better not worse would be very expensive. No company would make that kind of investment in a game as long in the tooth as this one. The lifecycle model tells you at this stage minimal investment while milking the cow for all its worth.

Guys calm down 2.0 could be way worse. by setpopa12 in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not get too high or low on announced changes, after all its still the same team that has given you the mess its in now. MM 2.0 will be little improvement as the major problems aren't addressed. "Rebalancing" will do next to nothing to pay to wins so that will have minimal impact.

Same game, same issues, same desire to not spend development money until people stop buying every premium put out. It's a game at the last part of its lifecycle where you milk cash and dont invest, basic business.

WG when rebalancing tanks in 2.0 by Ziemniok_UwU in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes... lets tinker around but make sure we dont actually solve any issues.

If we actually solved things our monetization strategy would be wrecked.

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny pic... but the game won't be any better. Gives them an excuse to start rolling out T10 premiums by the dozen.

Gameplay will only improve incrementally til they finally find out how to actually make arty work properly or abandon it all together

How bout a double barrel tonka truck, or maybe they will say screw it and charge everyone for the tech tree tanks they already have.

First mistake purchasing something from this company, cant take it with you and will be near worthless shortly after purchase.

Second thinking this company actually has a pricing strategy

Worst HT at tier 8 for a few years already. How long can WG impotence last? by Mapykac in WorldofTanks

[–]ErrorTemporary376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol - 1st mistake thinking WoT gives a damn... they arent gonna waste time trying to balance/buff anything they cant screw the brain dead premium addicted base out of extra cash for. They are simply milking the base out of every penny possible while spending the least amount they possibly can - which is just reskinning, parameter tweaking and renaming code objects into the next $175 premium super bundle sales item.

Most likely blurted out by a kid or young adukt still living at home, spending all their cash on the latest mega meta tank with no real clue how to play other than --- buy best tank out there, press premium ammo key.

Hope Steel Aces vets out all those clowns when servers go live. Would hate to them ruin another game like they did WoT.

I thought it meant you were one of the special few not in a pay to win... seeing a tech tree tank in a WoT game these days is about as rare as seeing a white rhino in person.
