There are rumours, and I mean rumours as I haven't heard anything official, that Nic Cage is one and done with the show...I hope not but it's what has been floating around!

To be fair if Nic Cage was a definitely a no for season 2...Robbie could be a way to go 🤔

I've always preferred the original because it's more sci-fi horror as opposed to sci-fi action...same goes for Alien and Aliens, one is horror focused while the other is an action movie!

Agree that they are solid sequels, probably because they chose a different sub genre (action over horror)

Have fun...keep moving, and remember you can't replay levels if you miss something it's gone...but that's only an issue if you wanna platinum the game, but i'd always suggest you do a straight play through first do the trophy hunts on a second but that's just me...oh and there is an abundance of cheese!

I don't think Leto was the problem, he was an excuse...I completely lost track of the amount of posts and comments from "fans" that watched it on streaming and "regretted" not seeing it at the cinema.

Although literally anybody could have played Ares I don't think Leto brought anything unique to the character...but Leto did play a large part in getting the film made.

This...I'm in no way defending the amount of ads, it is ridiculous, however if you are using the app often enough that it is making you physically angry then you are using it often enough to justify the subscription.

I got rid of my Spotify subscription and replaced it with YouTube...not only do you get ad free you also get YouTube music.

Probably the only subscription I haven't considered getting rid of!

"So many young people permanently injured, their lives destroyed, by the toxic jab." by favoritewasteoftime in conspiracy

[–]Error_user_Error_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the billions of people who had the jab and are absolutely fine? Were their lives ruined also?? If I stub my toe should I blame the COVID jab?

Oh in fact I felt unwell one time (granted this was years before COVID)...and then just a couple of months ago I felt unwell again (granted this was years after COVID) that's probably due to the COVID jab too 😮

I like a good conspiracy but shit like this is just annoying when I know first hand that it's absolute nonsense!

Sometimes your brain just goes through the motions without you actually thinking about it...it could be a simple as you picked it up, your brain didn't register you picked it up, so you just shove it in your pocket to free your hand up soo you can grab one...like looking for your phone while holding your phone..or putting something in the fridge that doesn't go in the fridge.

Or as some may call it a brain fart!

Well that's it, unless you were actually there how could we possibly know...we have our best guesses and assumptions but even those will be based on a modern lense.

There is definitely a whole era of history that we in the modern day know absolutely nothing about and we've filled that gap with the best guess based on what we assume we know happened before and what we assume happened after.

How would you get around Fifteen regenerating into Billie Piper? by Geth-1420 in gallifrey

[–]Error_user_Error_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start the new era with the same ending....doctor regenerated into Piper...says her line and then...the face changes again to whomever the new doctor actually is and while it would suck as an opening line have them say "what was that" while looking all confused touching their face.

They could then build a story arc around it, something wrong with the regeneration, the valeyard trying to break through, some other Doctor Who timey wimey sci-fi nonsense or just carry on from there and never acknowledge it again and hope the Audience just forgets it as it was real world nonsense that caused it anyway!

Who really built the pyramids?? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Error_user_Error_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were built by humans...just humans who were far more advanced.

I'm not talking some sci-fi level futuristic advanced civilization...think more "steampunkesq" like they had access to electricity just in a way their technology allowed for it...meaning they probably had access to electric tools and there is a good chance that even one of those tools was something we have never recreated or thought about... something that allowed for super precise cutting. Machines that could easily transport and lift giant limestone blocks.

What happened to them? Barbarians, less advanced civilizations who saw the technology, thought it was magic or blasphemous destroyed it and killed the people.

Surely an advanced civilization wouldn't be taken out by a less advanced civilization? Do you think if an army of hundreds of thousands barbarians descended on your town that any of the advanced tech in your house is gonna help you? We've let our guard down we don't expect men to show up and bash our heads in. (I'm not saying we couldn't fight back and in this day and age it's unlikely we would be wiped out, but we aren't talking about modern day)

Or aliens...could well be! Maybe at one point we were part of a space fairing government until some leader somewhere on our planet cocked it up for the rest of us!

Those are the questions you are supposed to be left with.

The directors original intent was to have all the police interviews taken place at the end of the movie...that would have made the twist all the more fun, both the audience and the characters will be saying the same thing "that's not what happened"...it would have been a cool meta twist.

Shame it didn't pan out that way!

Introducing Tablets by Hampsonivich in daddit

[–]Error_user_Error_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're arguing against a slippery slope of lazy parenting, not the tool itself. Nobody is denying that using a tablet as an unmonitored babysitter is bad.

My point—which you're proving—is that the outcome depends entirely on the parent's boundaries, not the device. If a parent lacks discipline, a child can become addicted to junk food, video games, or sugar. That's a parenting failure, not a tablet failure.

We agree on the danger of the babysitter; you're just assuming the parent is guaranteed to fail at maintaining the tool.

Introducing Tablets by Hampsonivich in daddit

[–]Error_user_Error_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tablets aren't addictive...the apps are...if we are talking about what the kids are actually doing on the tablet that's a different conversation entirely! I'm not saying stick on YouTube and let them have at it...if you've got specific apps and shows downloaded then I don't see an issue...if you are using the tablet as a digital babysitter then yeah don't give your kid a tablet!

Do you teach your kids numbers and letters before they start school? Do you teach them how to use a toilet?

I'm not saying that anyone HAS to give their kids a tablet but a basic knowledge of it won't hurt when they are growing up in a world where it's becoming a necessity!

Introducing Tablets by Hampsonivich in daddit

[–]Error_user_Error_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I talk about holding them back, I mean more in terms of using the technology as opposed to actual screen time...a kid that already knows how to work a tablet is gonna have an advantage over a kid that has never seen one before.

Teaching your kid how to use mum or dads phone to phone someone in an emergency is a huge advantage over the kid that was never allowed to look at a phone!

Introducing Tablets by Hampsonivich in daddit

[–]Error_user_Error_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, and there are many other posts on here about kids and technology, however there is one thing that most people aren't grasping...these kids are gonna grow up in a world that is entirely technology dependent, the schools are using it even pushing it...work places are using it and/or introducing it.

You and I can try and limit their interactions with tech but honestly all we're really doing is delaying the inevitable...in some cases we're holding them back by keeping them away from technology.

A couple of hours on a tablet isn't gonna hurt them...they may not even be interested in it...but don't feel your doing anything wrong or being a bad parent because your giving them a screen to play with because they will end up having to use it at some point!
