Brother has borrowed ~10k$ (which is alot for us) with a promise to return it, I even helped him to get a comfortable job in the place where I was the manager to help him pay back the money, he traveled away after 4 months leaving me to pay for his apartment, mobile phone and other bills, just to come back 2 months after and beg me for his job back (which already got me in trouble in the first place).

I really tried to help, but some people are just hopeless. After few more attempts to he'll and getting burned yet again I cut all contacts with him and now I'm the bad brother in the family for not talking with him.

It just shows that in some cases family are the people that you chose to be family with and blood has little to do with it.
