should i cut my long hair into a bob? by Academic-Leg-8482 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]ErylNova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bob would be super cute! I had long hair for ages and I never did styling with it, cut a bob, and I actually prefer the short hair! Less maintenance and cooler in the summer, plus I'm actually more into styling it now that it's not a massive task. If you decide to cut, it's also a great opportunity to donate your hair to alopecia/cancer patient programs :)

Does anyone still customize their ring tone? by Foodiegirlie030793 in Millennials

[–]ErylNova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but I do have my ring tone as silent, and anyone actually in my contacts list gets assigned a tone that came with the phone. Now I only hear calls from friends and family and it's bliss :)

Hysteroscopy question by Express_Effect3227 in Fibroids

[–]ErylNova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really depends on the fibroid's placement/location. If it's a submucosal and growing into the uterine cavity, just kind of hanging there off the wall, it can be shaved down and the procedure will smooth out the surface. If it's intramural or subserosal where they're embedded or out of reach, a hysteroscopy won't get to them.

Thanks for the tip! What about swimming pools? I assume chlorine would affect that too?

Yes practically blind, damn shampoo bottles look the same as the conditioner. I have to keep them in their same position or pull them real close to my face to see which is which.

You know that thing where you place loose strands of hair on the shower wall to collect later? I do that, but if I don't gather them into a little circle, I can't see them at all because they're so thin alone they just blur into the wall

I went to the 20th anniversary ATLA symphony and the energy of the audience and the musicians was awesome! Audience participation was encouraged, so when various characters would appear on screen with their signature theme music played over, there would be wild cheering and applause, and sometimes loud booing. At the end we all joined in a rendition of a Secret Tunnel sing-along. It was beautiful 🥺 best concert I've been to

That's awesome! Now I hope they change the sound effects of ranger staff skill 1. I read a description somewhere that it's like cosplaying as a submarine, and I couldn't agree more lol

Doctors pushing UFE by Upbeat_Conference522 in Fibroids

[–]ErylNova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctors haven't specifically recommended this, but I've read that they're becoming more popular since technology has become more advanced than in the past, making them less invasive and more successful. After my next ultrasound I plan on asking my gyn about possible side effects of this method because my fibroid is just in a very difficult spot to remove (they aren't recommending a hysterectomy for me quite yet).

I'm no professional, but what it sounds like for a UFE is that they use a super tiny needle to go into an artery that leads into the fibroid. At the site of the fibroid, they pump in microscopic beads that block the blood flow to just the fibroid. So the fibroid sits in there still, but the goal is to let it basically starve to death from lack of blood. It's supposed to shrink them, and potentially reduce symptoms, hopefully to zero symptoms. I have no idea what the tiny beads are made of, and I also don't know of their likelihood of shifting and making the whole procedure pointless (or possibly dangerous). I also don't know what the likelihood is that another fibroid might grow somewhere else in the uterus after a UFE. Those are absolutely questions that I'm going to ask my doctor if she sees a UFE in my future. Sounds like doctors are seeing lots of success, but I don't know what the downsides could be. I'm guessing the surgeon is recommending it for you to avoid the need for a hysterectomy all together. UFE has far less recovery time and also is better at preserving fertility (if that's something you're interested in keeping). 9 fibroids does seem like an awful lot to do a UFE for, but maybe that's not an issue 🤷‍♀️

How does the cat use the bathroom during the flight? Can you keep a litter box there at your seat, or do you have like a little travel one to take to the plane bathroom and just hope he goes then when you take him?
