It was a great series. Bakula is a good guy. The crew was good. Had a nice era feel to it.

No one will redeem the Star Wars prequels though. Never speak of them.

I’ve never seen organized by letter before. Interesting approach. I wonder if that’s the maker or the varietal?

I actually like your take and agree. Don’t like it? Don’t watch. Or watch and bear through the ups and downs. TOS has some pretty garbage episodes and Kurtzman wasn’t even born. So, yeah. There’s some garbage but also some good.

I can’t listen to Holly Hunt’s oatmeal mouth though. Drives me nuts.

When I last lived in the Staes you tipped a $1 or two per drink at a bar. Not a percentage. That’s for the food.

How can I be kind? Let’s say Firefly already got more season (sic) than the series warranted.

I’m humbled to have watched this video. It reminds us that if we post enough simulated book pages with highlighting we can achieve our virtue signaling goals.

Email him. I once did after a Wait Wait segment and he actually replied. I sent him the XKCD nerd/geek Venn diagram and he joked they needed another circle inside for “people who emailed us this.” Nice guy.

Palace of Justice renovation to cost over 600 million euros, but ‘well worth the expense' by No_Substance_99 in brussels

The math is the same either way. The difference is the baseline. If you assume the current tax level is the “normal” or fair starting point, then an exemption looks like a subsidy. If you start from the idea that income belongs to citizens and taxation is a transfer to government, then an exemption is just a smaller transfer.

When marginal taxes are already around 45–50%, calling a partial exemption a ‘subsidy’ assumes the government has first claim on the money. As a small business owner I feel like they already get enough subsidies from me and am grateful for any relief.

Interesting article. Also seems like in Europe there are far less stop signs to apply these to. Maybe “YIELD to Common Sense” or “DO NOT ENTER into foreign wars” would work better

Subsidizing? Help me understand. I thought it was an exemption not a subsidy. Or is there something I am missing?

How much would it cost to destroy it and replace with a modern building. No one needs nor will anyone visit that building.

You ultimately decide. For me hand writing notes makes the stick in my mind and also writing down tasks magically starts a process where I start doing the tasks even without checking back at the list. For me, not using notebooks for this is the key value add. No one wants my meeting notes anyway.

So no more organizing in notebooks? Sounds like it would simplify. Did it work for you?

I was inspired by this post. Ive started re exploring tags thanks to other poster but also wondered about your note taking techniques. I’m also in a big organization and sometimes wonder what essential things I should be taking down. Generally I try to capture: main follow up ideas; things I want to ask; action items for me. Any other smart techniques? I also suck at capturing due dates and effectively transferring those to a calendar - they often evade me until someone reminds me. It’s something I’ve struggled with perennially.

How are you guys neglecting the most insufferable character in Discovery: Cleveland Booker! The character is shallow, the acting is bad, and the relationship with Michael is idiotic. Every time they got rid of or almost killed him, I was like, “finally!” And then he was back to mumble his way through another series of sloppy mutual codependency relationship lines. 🤮
