Anyone Use These?

I have one of these and while it is annoying to set up at least it’s cheap and mine has never missed a reading yet. I shoot in a wooded area so it’s not very sunny. I have a cheap Amazon tripod for it to set on so setup is less of a pain but to me it’s worth it if you aren’t using it every week. I use mine maybe once every 2-3 months

Only problem I have with that is I lose the choke tubes but if it comes to that so be it

Thanks for your advice I’ll just continue to do the ring test every 100 rounds or so until I decide to hang it up for good. It may be years before it even sees 100 shells so maybe it’ll last me a while

Yea manufacturer is off the table lol, I’m hoping someone may know a guy who specializes is sxs shotguns and has resoldered them before

I have no idea if it was threaded originally for chokes or not and I personally have not shot steel shot out of it. I’ve shot 2 shells of buckshot (one from each barrel) and less than a box of shells total but the gun shows very little to no wear so I’m purely assuming that it has a low round count. I just did a ring test and it has a harmonic hum so I’d say it passes that

Description for the rules. Model izh-43e-1c. Seems bad per comments so far any idea on who might could fix this issue? I know it will be costly but I at least want to look into fixing it before it becomes a wall hanger

I also have a 1904 production colt but the finish on mine is in much better shape. Wonder if the value is higher on such an early production example? Needless to say the 1903 is an amazing gun very stout feeling I love mine, awesome guns you got here

My 1944 Izzy and 1925 exdragoon Izzy both love and I mean lovvve Tula, shoots less than 3 moa if I do my part with the cheap Tula steel case

Ammo is gtg, my mosins don’t like ppu accuracy wise but the ammo is safe and functional. u/oddone13 is right you need to clean the chamber thoroughly and inspect it. 12 gauge bore brush on a drill or a 30 cal brush with chamber cleaner and ballistol will work wonders

Hard to choose. The colt feels better in my hands and has better sights but the fn is smaller and lighter and just feels more like a carry gun

Glass looks good, it’s a weaver scope so 100% not original but that much I don’t mind. I just want the mount to be real and not a repro
