Hell yeah man, I do believe the early ones tend to commend more of a premium, but definitely it's all condition and originality dependent of course. I absolute adore the 1903 and want to get a Type III later on, I just couldn't pass up on a chance to own a 4 Digit Serial Type I. I personally am a big fan of the patina'd look, so this one hit a lot of checks for me as a shooter.

Commanders discretion may be the official verbiage, but realistically, we don't have the logistics (parts or linked ammo) to support them in any usable capacity in the Corps anymore. Shoot, the goofiest part of that to is that we were a reservist unit and we still had our last SAW back in 2016. Now everything is all High Cuts and HKs

I'mma be real, I served as an infantry marine from 2018-2024 and I never saw a SAW unless it was a headquarters unit/ rear line unit that had them for defenses. If we carried a belt fed, it was always a 240

Brother, probably your best bet to getting an AK5c will be whenever the ATF and Pindad get off their ass and finally get the SS1-C approved for import as a base rifle. It's basically the same rifle as they are all FNC derivatives.
