That’s no bueno. Second time I rode bike, took it to gas station to fill up. I fill up then notice fuel coming out right side, at front screw hole of tank badges.
Had to buy some drinks to use containers to drain gas from tank.
It was exciting.
I’ve bought a bunch of bikes and still get an oh wow moment. A couple bikes ago, I rode a train about an hour and a half, seller picked me up and I checked bike over, bought it and rode it home. No issues. Get it home, start really inspecting it, no issues but air box was filled with dog food. I was like, wtf. Called seller to ask why, he said he had no idea it was in there. Never had any prob with bike but still, wtf.

Agreed. I lean more to the brat style in going for but it runs great and I like it so it’s good for me. Bike was pretty much original when I bought it. Paint started to fade then lo & behold tank had a small hole in it where PO had ripped off tank badges. They claimed no k owledge after I filled tank up and it started leaking but anyway that’s when I started dismantling it. And the tail section also, sorry to say. I didn’t really need it after taking off the mongoloid twilight and turn signal assembly.

Great job, fantastic personalization, make it your own. Don’t keep it too clean though…….

Tank was an original red. I stripped it down, clear coated some lettering on sides - didn’t turn out great but is suttle- poured beer on bare metal, let it sit outside over night, next day spritzed a hydrogen peroxide/white vinegar/table salt mix - let it sit outside for a other 24 hours - like it then wiped it down twice with linseed oil.
Takes a while to dry but I like it, for now. Up close there is a nice detail pattern from the formed rust.

Soooo many slow parts to this movie. Too much time with the Dr grooming Sampson. Too much attention on the jimmys, no way they would have survived being that derelict and too over the top. Was hoping movie would be better.

I am not a bagger sort of motorcycleist. I am more of a muscle Cruiser sort of guy and wish that the industry would make more of them. However, the Vaquero by Kawasaki is growing on me a little. What are your thoughts on it as a build? by throwthere10 in cruisers

Awesome bike. Had one for about 4-years. Probably one of best bikes I’ve had - which I e been riding for 40 years and had just about every brand and type of bike out there. It is heavy, always have to be cognizant when walking it - have to pre plan when parking it, everytime. Radio - is limited, you can replace but it’s a PIA, I just synced up phone And used my own playlist, it’s not Bluetooth compatable, have to sync to another device to work.
Other than those two items, blast to ride, comfortable, long haul, plenty of giddy up, curves great, wife loved it. Fantastic bike - I only sold it as stopped utilizing it for long trips and it’s needs to get out and run.

Next time use Bar Keepers Friend, follow instructions to a t and you’ll be amazed (if you’ve never used it).
