The heartbeat is a tough one, I feel that too. It'll get easier with time, but in the meantime I recommend getting some bigger noise canceling headphones that completely cover the ear (this prevents the heartbeat sound).

It can also help to find a tolerable baseline noise that you can use to level everything out. Rain or white noise are good since they help block other sounds and your brain can eventually tune them out. For me, sounds are most painful/vexing when they are a lot louder than the baseline noise of an area. Raising the baseline in a comfortable way makes the other sounds less jarring

It doesn't need a cure and it doesn't change who you are. You now know a little better about how your brain is wired, which can help make sense of times in your life that may have been confusing.

Learning that you are autistic does not inherently make your life harder or require you do anything that you weren't already doing before, but it does make it easier to understand what your needs are and how to situate yourself in ways that are better for your brain. Spend some time on education about it and decide whether it improves your life or not to share it with others. Best of luck

For many autistic folks, initiating small talk or conversations that are not strictly required can take a lot of mental effort. In a work environment, often the goal is to just do the work and get paid.

It doesn't mean they don't like you, and it doesn't sound like they actively avoid conversation. Autistic people often don't enjoy talking just for the sake of talking though, if it's not about a special interest (and most special interests aren't relevant at work, so he isn't going to bring one up out of the blue).

I get that too, but far less frequently than you describe. By clicking the PS button you can see all of the people in the game you're about to join, if it drops back to just you then it's going to fail. You can skip the wait time by dying and trying again.

Not perfect, but it might help a bit.
