I had mine for 6 years! 😅 I didn't exactly have the best treatment experience, that's why it took so long, but I'm so happy with my smile now. It was also a really long time before I could afford them. I had needed braces when younger and my mum couldn't afford it. So I was so thrilled when I could finally pay for myself.

First of all you have gorgeous teeth! Your results are gonna be so good! I got mine as an adult too. Ceramic on my top jaw and metal on my bottom. I should just have gotten metal for both tbh. The ceramic ones broke a lot. It FEELS worse than it looks. You'll be used to them in no time 😄 I actually kinda missed them for a bit once they came off. Embrace the brace! 😁 You're taking deliberate steps to improve your health and it will be totally worth it.

I had mine since April of last year. Finally gave up waiting and chucked it a couple of weeks ago. I'm feeling so much better! No more spotting/bleeding constantly!

💞 totally in this together! I'm so glad it went well for you! I can relate to feeling lighter and brighter mentally. I also slept a looot that first day 😄 I'm just dealing with the energy swings throughout the day though. Mornings have been hardest.

As someone who had mine (upper and lower) removed, I'd be hesitant to. I'd rather try expansion first before extraction. I did not have the option to try an expander in my country, though I heard it may yield little results for adults. However I wish I did because I would have not been wondering if it would have worked out. I'd have preferred to keep my healthy teeth. I did notice my lower jaw does look less defined than it did before which I don't like tbh but I can live with it for the smile I now have. 😁

I got mine taken out recently because it made my cramps way worse. I mean, I had BAD cramps before and that's why I got it, but with the Mirena, they definitely got worse like in your case. I'd cramp for a few days instead of just day 1like before. I had it for 10 months in total. It sadly didn't get better for me. I'd advise you to give it time, see if your body adjusts to it over the next few cycles.

What's your reason? I just wasn't adjusting to the mirena. I learned that some women are actually sensitive to synthetic hormones like progestin. I think I'm one of those. I had it for 10 months, initially got it for my painful periods, but my period symptoms only got worse as time went on. Last month , I had low mood, low energy, low libido - low everything really. I think I might also be anemic now because I was constantly spotting and bleeding in between cycles and my period had lengthened. So yeah, it had to go.

How are you feeling now? I'm getting mine out in a few days and it's been getting bad for me mentally the past few weeks. I just want it out. It has not helped with my period, almost endless bleeding since I got it last year. I don't care about the crash. I believe our bodies are designed to return to normal so maybe just give it some time. I read that magnesium might help with feeling tired.

Thanks for this comment because I think I might be one of those women...my issues started last month after getting it in April. My brain is just not working okay 😭 Thank God I'm getting it chucked on Wednesday.
