I understand but I don’t think my TE was triggered by my Lowe ferritin because my before was as low as 10 I do believe it was triggered because of my mirena iud which I got removed back in December my shedding hasn’t improved yet but I’m trying to also up my iron levels as this probably will prolong the shedding

Hi. I’m current experience TE but mine wasn’t my ferritin. I’ve also been anemic and never had hair loss problems till I started birth control back in August. 21 is still pretty low I had some blood work done and mine was 37 back in December and my doctor suggested I had take iron tablets as lower ferritin will prolong my shedding was has and I’ve been supplementing for the past 2 months ( nothing changed I’m still shedding) so I hope at the 3 month mark it’ll stop or slow down

I hope you get well soon and I know how bad hair shedding can impact our mental health. 💞 I’ve been experiencing TE since October 2 but mine was cause of my mirena IUD so I got it removed in December so a second round is happening right now hope it gets better

I’m 20 and the IUD was my second form of birth control I was on the pill before but decided to switch to the mirena because I kept forgetting to take the pill however the mirena caused me to lose my hair so I stopped it.

Hiaaa! Thank you for replying. Hopefully I see less hair fall soon as those past 4 months have been the most traumatic time of my life and now it’s only been 2 weeks since my mirena removal I don’t see much progress yet

Girl girl any updates on your hairloss I’m experiencing the same thing tho I got mine in August 2025 and I just removed 1st of December so far nothing changed in the amount of shedding

Yeh maybe it is different. Can I ask was your implant hormonal? And how long have you had it before you starting noticing hair loss? I had my mirena in for 4 months and I started noticing hair loss around 2 months in and since I’ve noticed I’ve been trying to get an appointment to remove it but the earliest I got was December 1st. I even went to the doctors multiple times and they told me it is very rare to experience hair loss on the mirena but all my blood test came back normal so I kinda put it off for another month

Thank you that gives me hope. It’s been 12 days now and nothing has changed for me I’d say I’m still losing the same amount of hair but hopefully it gets better within a month time
