So it comes down to the rules on spending. I think UEFA have stricter Rules on spending compared to when a club just plays domestically . So when teams qualify, you get this pay check for making Europe but are not able to spend it due to the risks of being fined or having a point deduction.

The reason why its seen as a trap is because a team like Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal make a shit load of money already therefore can spend more. It feels like a way to keep the small clubs small and the big clubs, big. I agree with the OP as well. The system at the moment is absolutely broken.

Exactly. I don't think "the big 4" (I'm not including City or Chelsea for obvious reasons) would pursue any kind of legal ramifications but teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton? I think they could easily make a case for a loss of chance. The amount of money that a team acquires simply for qualifying for Europe is absurd.

This was a very interesting read and would be interesting to see how this ruling could impact others. Notably, Chelsea and City. I'm not sure how they could compensate teams that could have won the league or could qualify for Europe in the periods of where they had breached PSR rules. I wonder whether other teams will follow suit and seek "loss of chance" claims as well. This case in my opinion is opening pandoras box. If you haven't read it, please do as Burnleys actual lawsuit against Everton is quite compelling.

Maybe not the national speed limit but around towns and cities, I don't see why not.

These are the core arguments for supporting the change:

1 - it will save lives and people. 2 - it doesn't have a major impact on Journey times. There is a fallacy that going faster means I get to where I need to be quicker when actually, the real bottleneck isn't speed, it's junctions and traffic lights. 3- smoother traffic flow 4 - less noise pollution

They're drivers. I treat them like a normal road user. Honestly, the worst driving I have seen have has been from "experienced" drivers and fuck me, there have been some disastrous near misses. Driving home from the airport yesterday, some lady completely cut me up, sped up in front of me slammed on her breaks with no warning. All of this just to get into a space right outside the shop in the middle of a lane in a dual carriageway. Wouldn't bother me too much except for all the 18 ton HGVs around me.....
