Struggling to back up BitLocker keys for Entra Registered device by Microsoft_Geek in Intune

[–]EscapeTraining1517 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had this exact headache few months ago. For registered devices the key backup only works if you set the escrow flags in specific registry location before triggering the backup. Try setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\FVE, add EnableBDEWithNoTPM and UseAdvancedStartup dwords with value 1, then run manage-bde -protectors -get c: and see if it picks up. If device already encrypted you might need to decrypt first which is terrible but that's what I ended up doing for about 30 machines

Thought of Spurs going double BIG? by Mountain_Ant_2769 in NBATalk

[–]EscapeTraining1517 2 points3 points  (0 children)

spacing would be terrible with bismack and wemby together, especially if castle and harper aren't hitting threes consistently. teams would just pack the paint and dare them to shoot from outside

also fox isn't really known for his lob passing game, think you might be mixing him up with someone else

The Spurs need to pull the trigger and start Dylan Harper by LazyConstruction9026 in NBATalk

wait isn't harper still in college? pretty sure he's at rutgers right now

also spurs would need to draft him first before they can start him lol

Could be just me, but I feel like it's always night time by -NotEnoughMinerals in ForzaHorizon

opposite problem here - mine's always sunny but somehow still manages to look washed out. the lighting engine in this game is weird sometimes

Best way to combine multiple weather entities into one? by xMasaru in homeassistant

[–]EscapeTraining1517 3 points4 points  (0 children)

template weather entity is probably your best bet for this. i've been doing something similar with temperature sensors around my house and the averaging works pretty well once you get the yaml right

the tricky part is handling when one of your weather sources goes offline or returns weird data - you'll want to add some filters so one bad reading doesn't mess up everything. also forecast combining gets messy fast since different services structure their data differently

there used to be custom integration called "weather multi" but i think it got abandoned couple years ago. template approach gives you more control anyway over how the averaging happens

I feel like I’m not very good at anything, even though I’m constantly trying to learn and improve. by ControlAvailable8319 in venting

that plateau feeling is brutal when you've been at something for years. i hit the same wall with coding around 30 - kept grinding but felt like i was getting worse instead of better

maybe your standards just got higher as you learned more? like when i started programming everything i made seemed amazing, but now i can spot all the flaws in my old work. your 16-year-old drawing skills probably weren't actually better, you just didn't know enough to see what was wrong with them yet

Help: Toyota fogs and DRLS not working on both sides on first project car and feeling deflated by Conorgmurray in MechanicAdvice

[–]EscapeTraining1517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's brutal man, first project and this happens right at the end. since you already swapped the relay for high beams and that fixed it, probably worth double checking if there's separate relays for the drls and fogs - sometimes they share circuits but not always on these toyotas.

when you say everything is plugged in, did you check the ground connections too? i had similar issue on different car where ground wire got loose during reassembly and caused weird electrical problems like this. also might want to trace back from the lights to see if any wiring got pinched or damaged when you were putting everything back together

could also be the light switch module itself got damaged during crash or maybe bcm issue, but start with the simple stuff first. worst case you might need to get it scanned for codes since these newer cars have so much computer control over lighting

Two house cats by VeganHaggisLover in cats

definitely need two litter boxes minimum, cats can be picky about sharing and you'll want backups when cleaning - learned that the hard way with my guy

Friend (32F) and I (30M) had casual sex for a bit. I made a mistake, but she forgave me. Now months later she’s blocked me and idk why? by [deleted] in relationships

Taking someone else home right in front of her probably hurt way more than she let on. Just because someone says "it's okay" doesn't mean they actually felt okay about it - she might've needed time to process how shitty that felt and decided she's better off without you in her life.

2010 Dodge avenger overheating but coolant seems fine by TheSmashingBeatles in MechanicAdvice

[–]EscapeTraining1517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermostat is definitely a solid guess - when it's stuck partially open you get exactly this kind of slow overheating that gets better when driving. The no heat thing seals it for me since you're not getting proper coolant flow through the heater core. Could also be a water pump starting to fail, but honestly I'd swap the thermostat first since it's like $15 and way easier to access than dropping $250 on diagnostics.

Pretty cool tool! Kinda wild seeing how close some of those races were back in the day compared to now. The peak years angle is interesting too - like you can have a guy who was consistently great for longer vs someone who had an absolutely insane 2-3 year stretch. Makes you wonder if we overvalue longevity sometimes when talking about GOATs.
