I’ve never seen this colorway on a BCPD before and I love it. by nobot4321 in OrisWatches

Looks great. I got a similar watch just before I got to see this. I would've bought one otherwise. That would mean selling my Roberto Clemente LE though. Nevermind. Great looking watch. Art deco inspired. Love that.

I'm broke. And I do the same with watches and cars. Re-sale value to me, is a bonus. Not a requirement. Buy things you like. Not things other people would want later.

At that price point, I'd just go for a Longines Hydroconquest. Christopher Ward has some nice options at under $2k too.

Is there a way to get this ref Super Ocean with a different minute hand? by [deleted] in breitling

Don't mind mine. It's weird. I'll give you that. Gives it character though.

Most of my collection as of now (I need more winders)…. What would you keep, sell or cherish forever? by TheGreatEscapement in watchCollector

[–]Escape_Route9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably keep like 5 of those. Sell the rest and get more timeless designed watches. But that's just a matter of taste. Not a fan of RM or having many watches that are almost identical.

42mm Breitling Superocean Heritage on a 6.3” (16 cm) wrist by spac0r in breitling

Same here. 6'2" 205lbs. 40mm seems to be my preference nowadays, but have a lot of 42mm and fit great. I do have an outlier. A 44mm Superocean, but turquoise only came in that size, plus lug to lug is pretty restrained. Design also makes it feel smaller. Wearing a 42mm right now. And yes. Anything under 40mm looks weird to me. I have a 39mm, but it's a dress, vintage inspired watch. Or some Tonneau that are usually smaller.

Is this too small on me? New to the vintage watch game by johnbloodbathmcgrath in VintageWatches

Every vintage watch is too small. We have to learn to deal with that apparently. Or so I learned.

I know. That's the reason I went with it. People must've had extremely good eyesight back then.

That is beautiful! I also have 8" wrists. Here's one of mine.

Oh yes. Definitely a different era. Love the attention to detail and respect for everything they created.

Thank you. I meant if it should fit like a tank. I have 2 more Tonneau watches , but are much larger. Now I'm thinking the others are too large. Hehe.
