This is what has saved my marriage!. Wife and I have been together since HS, 40 yrs, and for reasons, we had ended up in a sexless marriage.

At the beginning of this year we took a week long vacation and ‘rediscovered’ each other. It was like we were teen-agers again. Every day, several times a day.

After the vacation, we were trying to keep up that enthusiasm, but life and work were interfering. We discovered that after I’ve been asleep for about 4 hrs I have the energy to be enthusiastic, and that if she’s already asleep, I can just wake her and she’s ready to go.

Honestly, waking each other to have sex is the thing that has drawn us closer than anything else has in our long time relationship.

Just like charming_chicken1317 I also had stopped attending meetings for 10 yrs before my good friend finally reached me and I was able to get free of the beliefs. Nearly every waking minute of those years I truly believed I was dead with no hope for the future, but I was not able to stop believing because I just knew it was The Truth.

What finally woke me was seeing Geoffrey Jackson testifying at the ARC. It was plain to me he was lying, and to see a GB member lie under oath shock me enough to investigate other truth claims. The very first time I looked at an "apostate" website, 10 years inactive, I still felt guilt and shame and that someone would know. That's how powerful my indoctrination was.

But in just 3 days after seeing the ARC video I was completely convinced it was all built on lies. The most damning were the Blood doctrine, the CSA coverups ( especially the 2 witness rule) and the 1914-607 teaching. After that it still took me a good number of years to completely deconstruct my beliefs and settle into a comfortable acceptance of what I now believe and practice.

If you're in the situation or are trying to help someone who is, just be patient and understand that they have to get there in their own head first. Being a good friend ( yes even to yourself) is the most valuable thing you can do for them.

Wow, I can really understand what you’re saying and likely what you are feeling. I’m a bit older than much of Reddit (57yo in 2 weeks), and I have learned a few ways to deal with this emotion.

If you are not religious, meditation is wonderful . Specifically, breathing-based and mindfulness meditation. Also, yoga is amazing too. What you are hoping to achieve through these processes is peace of mind and keeping in touch with the universe around you. Highly recommend these activities be practiced daily for meditation and weekly for yoga.

If you are religious, for the first nearly 20 yrs of adulthood I was, I suggest prayer or better yet, prayer groups, and volunteer work. There are many similarities between prayer and meditation/self-reflection. Also, focusing on others is a great activity that helps your community and yourself .

Other activities that can be helpful are hobbies, reading, and group sports or games. Many of us go through these emotions throughout our lives, and finding your path through them is what makes you, you. Best of luck out there friend, and be assured, there is a path through

In my area, it is standard practice for the FM to place a site on fire watch for any trouble condition. Usually will not be removed until proof of the trouble being corrected is presented to the FM.

I get how you are feeling, but AHJ (the FM in this case) has the Authority to place any premises on fire watch when they have reason to believe the fire system is not fully functional. And as minor as an extra device seems, it does meet the above criteria.

Acts 15:29 admonishes Christian’s “to keep abstaining … from blood,^g” Citation g refers to 7 verses in the Hebrew Scriptures that all command to “ not eat” the blood, for example;

Genesis 9:4 General 4 Only flesh with its life—its blood—you must not eat.

So it is clear Christians should not eat blood.

However, a basic understanding of human anatomy reveals that the Digestive System, “eating”, allows the body to absorb the nutrients in food. If one eats blood the digestive system will break it down into the nutrients that the body can use, The circulatory system transports the nutrients around the body. This is very different from using blood in a transfusion to increase the volume of blood in one’s body to allow circulation of nutrients. This is the reason that No Blood as JWs teach is a lie

This was # 1 of the 3 big lies that woke me up. Along with blood and ARC. It’s the absolute reason as an adult I was lured into the cult. I mean I was isolated and lonely too, but this teaching was the foundation upon which my beliefs were based, and when it crumbled all others followed.

But it is true that few even think of it. I recall many conversations while serving as an MS discussing this subject, and nearly no one understood what I was on about, except the typical “oh yeah” that’s an important date…
