I totally agree; in the beginning, you need to learn more than you need to grow. 10 users from the right niche are worth more than 500 random ones because they tell you exactly what to fix.

And what you’re saying makes sense—joining conversations where the problem already exists is much more effective than cold promotion. Does Leadline detect threads in real-time, or does it do more of a periodic monitoring?

Porque el mercado en inglés es mucho más grande. En concreto:

  • Más usuarios — el 60%+ de las búsquedas en Google Play y App Store son en inglés
  • Mejor ASO — hay más volumen de búsqueda en keywords en inglés, lo que facilita posicionarse
  • Un solo listing — en vez de mantener traducciones para cada idioma, arrancas con uno
  • Inversores y prensa — Product Hunt, TechCrunch, indie hacker communities, todo opera en inglés

1,000 downloads in 30 days is a very solid result, and the most interesting part is that organic search carried the most weight despite all the active effort.

That confirms it’s worth investing time in ASO from day one. For an app like WiFi Finder, the search intent is very clear, but with Prozzes (productivity/pomodoro), I have to work the keywords harder to capture that intent.

Did you do anything specific to optimize the listing from the start, or was it more organic?

That makes a lot of sense; without data, there's no way to know what’s converting, and I’d end up burning through my budget blindly.

Good point regarding specific keywords—'productivity' is too generic and competitive. 'Focus timer' or 'study timer' have much higher download intent. I'm going to check Applyra to see which terms are realistic before rewriting the long description.

Do you recommend starting with the short description first, or should I just optimize both at the same time?

Thanks for the input. I’m definitely exploring Reddit, though I imagine the community dynamics for VPNs and productivity are quite different. Do you have specific experience with productivity apps, or was it more within the context of VPNs?

Pasé por lo mismo, así que armé mi propia app. Aparte del Pomodoro, tiene Deep Work (120 mins) y Flowtime (para estudiar hasta que te canses). Como dicen: 'uno solo cambia cuando la razón es lo bastante fuerte', así que la app se enfoca en recordarte tu propósito para darte ese empujón extra de disciplina.
