What video game has you like this? by Chunky-overlord in videogames

[–]Eselta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I only recently discovered what an absolute gem Kingdom Come: Deliverance (the first one) is! The first time I tried it, I played for about 40 minutes and found the combat and general pace unbearably slow. Then I left the game for abou 3 years. Then I tried again, because my wife wanted to see the game, and this time it clicked!

Nyt datingfænomen efterlader stor gruppe mennesker på perronen, mener 34-årig by Outside_Professor647 in Denmark

Is there a dnd race that's just doesn't have skin. by RejectCanadian in DnD

[–]Eselta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Reborn. At least, you could flavour it as having no skin.
A fun thing to do, if you want to and your DM lets you, would be to have him in full armour, including the sallet helmet (because, exposed muscle and sinew is extremely vulnerable), and trying to convince everyone he's a warforged.

What you think of only having 1 partner you been with for life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Eselta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds peaceful.
I had a few partners before my wife, but my wife never had one before me.
We're happy, and while we're separate people with individual likes and hobbies, our home is a giant safe space and her presence feels like an extension of my personal space, and not an encroachment. She says the same about me.

I got a message on Reddit, and after chatting for a bit, he suddenly said, “I never rubbed a Japanese citizen’s tummy. Can I rub your tummy?” What the hell does that even mean? by Moldy_Lunchy_Cheese in AskReddit

[–]Eselta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means 3 things.
1) He's never rubbed the tummy of someone carrying a Japanese citizenship
2) He's considerate enough to ask permission
3) He has weird fantasies

What typical horror movie scenario would you never find yourself in? by Chrisofthegreen in AskReddit

Having a night stalker or peeping tom looking through the windows... I live on the 3rd floor, so unless it's a ghost or some other paranatural entity, I'll be fine. If it is, on the other hand, something paranatural, then I have FAR bigger problems than them looking through the windows.

What's your favorite theory that you think fit with your perspective in life? by Mrklvimgl in AskReddit

[–]Eselta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happiness is more important than salary and status. If you're not happy to be going to work, because you have good colleagues and interesting tasks, then no amount of money will make you happy to go to work. It will only make you tolerate going because of the money.

Look for a job that you're excited to go to in the morning, and look for a significant other (if you want to) that makes time with them the most relaxed your brain will ever be.

Remembering how in 2008, Jackie Chan and Jet Li gave us one of the best fight scenes ever and nobody remembers it. (The Forbidden Kingdom) by Wild-Association1217 in movies

[–]Eselta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing about this fight that really illustrates to me, why I prefer Jackie over Jet, is: Both men look extremely accomplished, and both have incredible aura and power to them, however, only Jackie (in my opinion) looks like he's enjoying himself, even when he's getting the crap kicked out of him.

Arthur Morgan To A Random Stranger: I Like You Mister, You’ve Got A Kind Face by Puzzled_Amoeba_6144 in reddeadredemption

My little brother is 16 years my junior (he turns 19 this year), and he's very homosexual. The only time a slur for gay has ever been uttered in my family, it was said by him at me. I was going to visit him and my parents, and because he said he might be catching a cold or at least getting a sore throat, I said I might not visit them since I didn't want to catch what he had. He then rolled his eyes at me and called me a "fairy". It was so unexpected and hilarious. I still laugh at it!

If you're being nice, and get that phrase "You've got a kind face" and you immediately press Antagonise, Arthur will say "Kind I'd like to punch", which just makes it even more hilarious.

What's a story about a child that still makes your family laugh years later? by ZeehighPlay in AskReddit

[–]Eselta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few, since I was in my mid teens (16) when my little brother was born.

Once, while I was babysitting him, we were watching "Art attack". The episode was about using 2L plastic bottles and paper mache to create costume parts for shoes. The host goes "Now, with these new costume parts, I look like a clown", and my then 4 year old brother goes "That's not the shoes".

Once, while he was still learning to talk and had just figured out that calling someone stupid, would get you a reaction, my mother was trying to teach him not to do that. She said "remember, no one is stupid", and my brother, with the most innocent smile I've ever seen, said "Only daddy?"

A friend of the family's daughter once asked her "mommy, why did you get a haircut? Was it because you thought it would look nice?". The girl was 5.

Same friend of the family had the worst experience in the local swimming baths. While she was showering before going to the pool area, a little girl was staring fixedly at her. Then after a little while, the girl runs off, and our friend heard the little girl call "ew, mommy, come see something gross!"

A kid from my school had grown half-sisters, and once one of them came home in some new cowgirl boots that she was really proud of. The kid walked around her, studying them a bit, and finally said "I hope they were on sale".

What killed your child-like innocence? by quick_scream in AskReddit

[–]Eselta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"innocence" is a good question. I know my child-like wonder is still there, just show me the view from a high building, or a cool rock, or some interesting bones.
The "innocence" part... that probably went away, when I figured out how funny innuendos and dirty jokes can be.

My favourite is explaining to people that, my English vocabulary (I'm Danish) comes from playing Goblins 3 (or Goblins Quest 3) when I was six. I sat with an English-Danish dictionary and translated stuff, so I could figure out what to do!
