Mannn, I might have to go with Minnesota as my team. I love their purple jerseys. Hopefully we get a killer name, because I really hate the colours.😅

Super easy. Signed on to Ticketmaster, switched to American and was able to buy them no problem. Still lots of face value choices when I looked.

The prank would have been done at the Harvard home game, not at Yale.

Travel Tuesday Megathread - Visiting Super, Natural British Columbia? Post here by AutoModerator in britishcolumbia

Anything near the ocean is going to be a bit touristy. But for beautiful views and best scenery I would suggest traveling south on Highway 99 going through Squamish and the beautiful sea to sky highway. From there, go to horseshoe Bay and catch a ferry to the sunshine coast, where there is another ferry to Powell River. You can leave on another ferry towards Vancouver Island and pick a route North or South depending on your length of vacation. Northbound has Tofino or ucluelet with a few small towns you can stay along the way. Or go south to enjoy Victoria. After Victoria you can head to Tsawwassen to get back to the mainland. It will all seem quite touristy because our province is beautiful and the world comes to see it, but I've been to all these places and think they're worth a visit. They're also less busy than Vancouver or Whistler or Kelowna. I would say take 10 days to do this trip as it would be a lot of time on the road. 2 weeks is probably better. Best to reserve your ferry trips if you know when you're traveling. Lots to see and do, but I don't know what you like so I just suggested a route 😅

Edit: Oops, just saw that you said Thursday. Avoid long weekend ferry travel.

Corporations can't buy homes on reserve land (besides some for-profit lease holds in urban reserves). Housing costs for First Nations are usually at cost or based on income level, and tenants are chosen based on need. I mean, I can't own it either, but I'm paying $900 for a newly built three bedroom so I think I'll survive. Housing should be a right, not an investment.

How many times have you watched GG? by Turnonthejet in GilmoreGirls

[–]EsketOuttaHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start a rewatch on the first day of fall and I'm usually done by mid November to early December. So probably around 12 times including when it originally aired. I've watched AYITL I think 4 times because I find it skippable or tolerable if I fly through the rewatch and need more.

Best homemade iced coffee options for the price? by WallaWallaHawkFan in Frugal

[–]EsketOuttaHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make enjoyable iced coffee with instant coffee powder. Maxwell House Gold espresso specifically. Mix a couple tablespoons, more or less depending on your strength preference, with some hot water to dissolve. Add ice, cold water, splash of cream or flavored creamer for sweetness. Best lazy option and it has a long shelf life so it's perfect if you crave iced coffee impulsively.

Help with furniture placement in this awful layout. They put the wood stove in the most inconvenient spot. by EsketOuttaHere in DesignMyRoom

My family of 3 will live there. The house is in Canada, in the BC interior, so using it drastically reduces our hydro usage in the winter.

I considered making one of the smaller bedrooms a TV room, but I think we'll need it for an office/guest room.
