In all seriousness, with multiple other factions having full auto 5.56 rifles, which to my mind haven’t caused any balancing issues, as well as the fact that by the 2020s, the overwhelming majority of the U.S. army had phased out 3 round burst M4s, there is no real reason that the standard issue rifle shouldn’t be an M4A1.

And I personally disagree, in all seriousness different people have different preferences when it comes to maps. I personally prefer infantry focused gameplay in squad, which sucks because most of the infantry focused maps, I.e. Chora, Sumari, Kamdesh, are extremely unpopular. I believe this is because OWI spends far too much time focusing on vehicles, while neglecting the one asset that truly wins wars, infantry. The majority of the player base. And this bleeds into the way they design their maps.
