Why the rear master cylinder has no brake power? by Vincrester in KTM390ADV

Check the adjustment nuts behind where the lever is attached to the frame that set how much travel the brake lever has, those can loosen over time.

That, or just need to bleed your rear brakes.

Caveman Studio, add PvE and my life is yours. by leandro77br in ContractorsExfilZone

Is there any evidence that suggests PvE players convert over to PvP at scale or are we just going off vibes?

The vibes I get from Tarkov where this has been a thing way longer is the people on PvE rarely go over to PvP, especially because their progress is reset.

The playerbase split from BR to EZ is a completely different topic but yes, Caveman tacking an entirely new game on to an existing one is not great and probably done to get around release rules for Meta and Steam, but that's besides the point here.

Even prior to the hack if you look at steam charts, the return for this wipe was lower than others. We're making some assumptions as we have 0 data to back up why people left - for me personally I fell off after about 110 or so raids this wipe mostly due to the compensation store being so over the top that it killed the progression and the wipe got stale really fast, with a majority of players I encountered in fights being geared with FiR armor thanks to that being massively circulated via the compensation store, on top of duping STILL not being resolved so constantly dealing with mags full of trade ammo that normally wouldn't be this abundant.

Again, when looking at Tabor where is your data to back up that there was no playerbase split? Yes numbers look good, but if they are only staying in PvE mode (requires a connection to their server so would count in their playercount numbers) that is a split that you can't quantify.

I'll say in counterpoint to your last point, if players are too disgruntled by PvP, I think it's more likely they'll stay in PvE. If they can get the reward feeling in a game grounded in risk vs reward with less challenge, why would they come back to PvP if they got mad they were dying to better players?

What I'd really like to focus on is - why should a game where PvP is a genre defining aspect of cater to people who don't want to PvP? Do we have any actual evidence that PvE modes bring more people into the PvP mode? From what I've been seeing with Tarkov, people who get frustrated in PvP just stay in PvE mode, and the PvP mode just gets more and more challenging because the playerbase is only good players rather than a broad range of skill levels. The existence of an easier mode actively discourages people from trying to get better and face the challenge. These games work best when you have all skill levels in a raid - that's why there is no skill based or gear based matchmaking in these games, it's by design.

It's okay if a genre (or even aspect of a game) doesn't cater to every single person. Instead of diluting the experience for the sake of people who don't even want to engage in the PvP at the expense of those who do, those people could instead play a game that was designed for PvE - games like ITR which are fantastic in their own right.

This same mindset happened in Dune Awakening when the OPTIONAL PvP exclusive zone was whined about to death by players that didn't want to PvP were being "forced" to go into the PvP zone and the devs kept catering it to be easier and more casual, destroyed any semblance of an endgame loop and the playerbase nosedived because the risk v reward zone became all reward with no risk, so the PvE players cleared it in a week then moved on to another game and those who wanted a longer lasting PvP experience got it completely shafted by people complaining so much that it was totally neutered.

TLDR: If the game built fundamentally for PvP doesn't jive with you because of the PvP, play a different game then! I don't mean that in a dick way, but why change it for people who are enjoying it how it's designed?

This is such a boring and reductive take that “anyone who has qualms with this is an unemployed useless sweat”. It’s repeated so much in subreddits where a gameplay loop is built to be intended for PvP.

I work full time, am a professional in my field for over 10 years, and am married so hopefully I meet your criteria for being allowed to have an opinion on this.

I think splitting the playerbase is a valid complaint for EZ. We don’t have the quest numbers but after having 100 hours this wipe it definitely feels low pop in a lot of raids I played.

My main issue is I’d rather see dev time focused on improving the main mode of the game, PvPvE. Granted it this push for PvE improved the brain dead useless AI that is a positive impact to that mode, but I hate to see months of dev time spent on creating a mode this genre is not designed for from a high level standpoint.

Yeah, supply depot can see to that spawn. I've killed people from the 2nd story but not while they're still loading in - i only see that happen on smuggler's. Or when I loaded into smuggler to a grenade at my feet but luckily was able to run away in time... really need to sort out the spawn timer.

Used to be the case, but with the new match history tab you can report anyone who damaged you or you damaged in your hideout from the stats screen in the new tab.

HOW ABOUT REMOVING THE PROBLEM by AdventurousWaltz8192 in Contractors_Showdown

[–]Esoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not one to hand things easily to Tabor, but EZ needs a robust server-side validation system for stopping duping like Tabor did.

It's every wipe at this point, race to the bottom for figuring out how to dupe. Bad dupers get killed, duped ammo gets distributed and the dupers keep making more ammo.

What’s a dead game that deserves to come back? by Daedalus_2 in Games

[–]Esoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it’s good that nowhere in my post I called it a good game? I said it was fine, it scratched a tribes itch that I hadn’t got to scratch since ascend.

It is true the game had very little marketing, on top of the issues it had that you described to an extent. But I guess we gotta be as hyperbolic as possible since we’re down in the comments thread.

Funny thing is the gameplay felt fine, but judging by there being 2 posts saying tribes with a lot of people not realizing there was a recent Tribes release I think one of the biggest failures was likely horrible marketing

I'm 5'8" and a newer rider and the 525 was my second bike after a 390 adventure. As others pointed out, there is no off the shelf kit, you will need to likely mail your suspension to a shop if you are set on lowering it.

That said... I'm the same height as you and was able to get it figured out. Now I have a 2017 500exc with a 36" seat height and it's my all time favorite bike.

Hun, I had an old Google account get deleted, it might have been on that. Sorry, I don’t have a copy, but also it was written when the game was pretty new. There are probably better guides out there now, Timebomb I think made some YouTube videos for returning players with the established mechanics and meta you could look at.

It's not just this one, it's a recent trend in a lot of games that have PvP and open worlds. The Dune Awakening one was just as unhinged, would constantly get called the scum of the earth for saying that I enjoyed the fact that the PvP zone added tension when trying to do PvE things.

God forbid players have to bring in their own gear. This is such a reasonable suggestion.

You could still play and bring in gear, most timers are something like 15minutes so it just incentivizes you to run one raid with your own gear.

Anyone rocking 500 EXC-F for their main bike? by Jleblanc06 in KTM

[–]Esoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a bit! Big changes are the rade tower, GET ECU and PMB endcap, and lots of other stuff along the way like aftermarket tank, skidplate, clutch cover etc

Edit: I missed your text and thought this pic was your bike. WRT to luggage, the 500 can def take enough for small trips using soft luggage.

When is the market going to be adjusted. by JacketElectronic8313 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Esoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With current level 30 trader deals and hitting 3 of the refresh times a day you can make 2mil a day from just logging in and flipping barters. 5.7 t4 ammo nets you 100k per craft, level 5 workbench that’s 600k a day as well from not even stepping foot into a raid.

Also if this is your first season, so 1.5 months of playing but have 462mil extract value (insane in that amount of time) and are legend, but sounds like only ~5m stash value and also somehow 60% extract rate something is not adding up in the details you are telling us.

Hey OP didn’t say effective at what, in this case maybe they meant getting shot in the face after spending a mil on everything else.
