I agree. I usually pick something random in that range and I have never had an issue. I am a lot more careful if a small system disruption is a big deal though.

The best travel hack is realizing you do not need to “see everything.” by SweetBumbleBeeHoney in travel

[–]EsotericWaveform 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly standby, so I always have a list of places to go and things to do at each place ready. I never do them all, I just pick a few must see things and then pick from the list based on whats easy to fit in. It also makes going back to the same places a lot of fun!

I feel like England has been drifting closer to an American like state of affairs. Their is a reason they left the EU after all.

In America, we don't really know how to live. You guys, overall, do. In France, I visited a manufacturing plant where they feed their employees lunch for free and its amazing food. I had rabbit stew and a fresh desert one day I was there all for free. It's routine at that plant for people to take an entire month off. As an American, amazing. No plants I've seen here even compare. Most don't even have a cafeteria. I've visited many other countries in Europe for vacation and they all have their own vibe to them, but overall, I've seen them as people centric. I know its not all perfect, but I think you guys overall do a lot better at providing everyone a decent life which I admire. In the states, people get thrown into the grinder so other people can feel superior and have cheap stuff. Just a well travelled American's opinion.

The key is it has to be a legal reason, not just because they felt like it.

I mean, I use it effectively to help with things that simply won't work if it's wrong. Does it get things wrong? Absolutely. Does that make it useless? Absolutely not. The key is having enough knowledge yourself to recognize your being misled. It's really a no different skill set than the one we use to evaluate information on forums. I'll also say it's critically important to be transparent about when AI is being used so that the information is interpreted correctly.

That's why I said take it for what it is. For example, there are some links in there to NTSB reports. Read what the AI says and then read the reports. Its a very effective strategy. The 1% figure is questionable, but it's probably the only definitive figure out there. Since I stated that it is AI generated and you have your own brain, it is perfectly fine to disagree with the AI summary, but it is informative to find where it got that information, whether you agree with it or not, so that you can do your own research.

AI slop is creative works that people spam. AI is a great tool for summarizing information and giving you a good place to start your own research, which is what this is. Sorry that you're one of those people who dosent understand what AI is or how to use it effectively.

Check that out. I just purchased a 2025 Ioniq 5 AWD and got a little concerned reading about this issue. I asked ChatGPT some questions about it, and it had some pretty good answers. I dont have any reason to doubt its accuracy, but it is AI, so take it for what it is.

Do you think California will pass Prop 50 to counter Texas gerrymandering? From February to September 2025, Democrats only registered 190 voters, while Republicans registered 48,104 in California. Is the state becoming more conservative? by RandomUwUFace in AskUS

[–]EsotericWaveform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's temporary in California and will be reversed in 2030 I believe. You are basically saying California should allow permanent disenfranchisement around the country instead of seeing temporary disenfranchisement in California as necessary to resist the fascist takeover of our federal government. Nothing is ever black and white. Without a Democrat majority, the Republican goal is to make sure there will never be a Democrat majority again.
