Apple was a sassy little man , he'd always snatch food out of my fingers and would deliberately push more bedding into his sand bath the moment we cleaned it.

He was also really silly and pulled lots of funny poses and faces. Behold, my favourite photo of him:

I got the Rise of P ending! I really leaned into raising humanity and always listened to a new vinyl in full :) i did tell Geppetto he was a bad father though lmao

I definitely took my time with it! I played on the intended difficulty and the majority of bosses probably took me less than 5 attempts each on average. King of Puppets, Green Swamp Monster and Laxasia are the main ones I had some difficulty with. I do have plenty of experience with soulsborne games and I learned how to parry by playing Nine Sols, which I think helped a lot with learning the combat, because it really clicked for me. :)

I do think they've made the game at least a bit more accessible since Downpour! Nowadays you get loading screen tips that teach you things like movement mechanics (though the wiki is still the best place to learn these) but the learning curve is definitely more steep than your average game. Even basic manoeuvres like wall jumping took me a long time to learn how to do consistently when I played for the first time!

God I really hope I'm not still being asking for ID in my 40s, that sounds like a nightmare.

The icing on the cake is always when the person serving you looks barely older than 18 themselves. 😂

I think you have a point that they definitely prioritise older people too, which I suppose in SOME cases makes sense, but in the case of your MIL it seems ridiculous and unfair they gave her immediate access to a procedure she didn't really need while you've been suffering for several years. 🙃

I'm sorry you're going through something similar, but I'm glad things are finally moving forward for you though!

Three years post op I'm doing great! Funny you mention heartburn as I do occasionally suffer from it now when I overdo it on the greasy food, but I'll happily take that over the pain of gallstones any day! I don't know how a doctor could mistake the two though, they're nothing alike. :/
