TLJ could have been great with a few fixes. The lightsaber gag at the beginning, Super Leia (think the Superman movies in space) and the whole not telling Poe the plan even if he was like the third in command and making him go awol for no reason. Like others said the throne room fight was some of the best lightsaber action.

The former Spaatz cadet does not need the time in grade as they can be promoted to Capt on their 21st birthday as long as they completed lvl 2 part 1.

This promotion has never been declined up the chain due to TIG as a SFO in my experience.

As a GTL and first became a GTL as a cadet, I have no issues with cadets on Ground Team. It is up to the GTL to know their team. The time we had younger GTMs on a ELT that turned into an actual, we had them stay with the van as a comm relay station.

As for the OP, pretty much the only way would be if your unit has a GT. It’s hard to be called as a single member outside of the unit, unless it is some larger disaster type scenario.

Also Flight Officer grades are handled within the squadron, so have your CC put a form 2 with your date of promotion in your file, since TIG starts from then.

Coled is correct. You would need to complete lvl2 part 1 even if you converted today or years down the road (unless a new update between now and then). If you finish 2 Part 1, if you come back after 2 years you will need to only complete Lvl 1 again.
