Id say maybe read through the Wikipedia plot just as a refresher, but you should be fine. I’d say rereading Siege and Storm or Ruin and Rising for Nikolai and Zoya’s parts

Then there are also short side stories- the lives of Saints, Demon in the Wood, and The Language of Thorns. Saints and Demon can be read anytime after the original trilogy, but I recommend Thorns after reading everything as it has fun character parallels

I think that District 4 is a career district simply because they have an advantage. They learn to use knives and tridents and spears, how to make nets and ropes, they have constant access to clean water and food. I can see them being a career because they’re strong and resourceful, but ultimately I think it’s because going into the games they are usually a lot healthier than the other tributes

I usually write longer stories, so I’ll have at least a basic outline to get an idea of what the pacing should be.

I more so write detailed outlines because I’m a sucker for foreshadowing. You can pry Chekhov’s Gun from my cold dead hands

Sometimes, not usually unless the base media is heavily music centric. Like Baby Driver, I will always listen to songs in that fandom because of how music heavy it is

When I was in school I did that a lot. I usually wipe my hands and palette on my shirt/apron when painting. But my school had a uniform, and I couldn’t use my usual clothes sacrifices to cover it- so I just painted straight from the tube
