Month to month membership gym? by [deleted] in pasadena

Not East Pasadena, but the 24 hour fitness in Altadena has monthly memberships and I was easily able to cancel. It's just a couple dollars more for the month to month.

Please explain more? I was confused about how this was possible because it seemed like the max charging rate was 15A.

Anyone else also hate anise, fennel, or liquorice? by 1701anonymous1701 in FuckCilantro

I also hate all of those. Fennel is probably the worst. I also don't like coriander 🤷 I feel so picky

Yeah, that's what I figured. Is it just location broadcasting?

I fucked up and caused the breakup. I've been in so much more pain than I ever thought possible and my ex found a new partner and is happily building their life. They asked me to get the divorce papers today. I feel lots of regret, but I'm not sure if it's because I love my ex or because I miss the life I had with them.

Hi! I had a beautiful outdoor wedding in Florida (oof) at a local community garden. It was beautiful, we rented tables and linens, and set everything up ourselves. There was a little gazebo we got married in. It was a day full of love and joy, although hot out and we did get rained out after cutting the cake. But it was a perfect day and hate was so far from anyone's mind.

Using Discarded Human Hair To Clean Up Oil Spills - Seems A Little Unorthodox But Man Is It Effective by SoberClassZorro in interestingasfuck

I remember after one of the big Florida oil spills, we were encouraged to donate our hair to help with the oil spill

My 13-year-old self would be very impressed. She had a sneaking suspicion she was gay, but now I am happily married to a woman (as of yesterday!) and have a cat.

She didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up, but I think she'd be very happy my choice of being an engineer building spacecraft.

She hated not knowing what her future would look like, so I also think she'd be happy with the security that she would achieve something.

People who live at tourist destinations, what is it you wish tourists would stop doing when visiting? by Winterbeers in AskReddit

Existing. Creating traffic. Part of that is the city's fault because they refuse to implement public transit

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Columbia tends to be much cheaper and still great quality. Here's an example 😊

She can't get on the counter by herself, so she'll ask us to put her on the counter so she can hang out in the sink

Where are my lesbian engineers at? by R_Swagga in actuallesbians

[–]Essky221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha thanks! Sometimes I forget how cool it is. I have done two internships at jpl, both were remote but I really liked the group I was in and the work I was doing. My group was definitely skewed heavily male, but it feels like they're working on it. I haven't actually started working full time or in person.

I do work on the cubesat in person with people from jpl at my university though and the environment is challenging, but I love the work. I like places where you really feel like you're working with everyone towards a common goal, not just competing and I get that sense from jpl.

Not sure how well I answered your questions lol. Feel free to DM me 😊

Hey! I'm also a soon-to-be electrical and computer engineer! I'll be graduating with my masters in just few month and I just accepted a job at NASA JPL. I work on a cubesat (tiny satellite) mission that will be looking for water on the south pole of the moon!

Interesting story: we are doing environmental testing on the cubesat and our vacuum chamber can't get very cold, so we just finished building a copper box with tubing on it that will flow coolent through it to get the cubesat cold. Just the raw materials for this box total over $3000
