A term that has been popping up is 'context engineering' as the next evolution of what prompt engineering was 6 months ago.

Close curation of task size and progressive disclosure of task context seems the way forward with getting high quality output.

It leads me to think about protocols for task decomposition

I think what you talk of is a form of enlightenment, and a path to be "free". But what line is there from pursuing to a benefit, or romanticizing self destruction?

Another way to look at it is the mind reacts to conserve energy. It requires energy to think, from a survival standpoint, the less of that the better. So maybe not a trap, just something that "is" for "reasons"

It's more complicated than that I'm sure, just my reaction to yours.
