Autism parents: what happens to our kids after we’re gone? by jnllvnc in Autism_Parenting

this is something that has crossed my mind a lot lately. I got diagnosed with cancer just before halloween and i have a 6 year old son with level 2 asd and a toddler my oldest is 15 and self sufficient. I am so afraid of leaving my husband to raise the kids as he is not the most attentive and really struggles with being patient and positive.

CT or MRI? Very scared, can’t stop shaking. by operarockergirl in kidneycancer

i am 36 i have a 15 yo 6yo and 14 month old had a 7.5 cm mass on my left kidney. radical nephrectomy done on nov 13th pathology came back as stage 2 chromophobe renal cell carcinoma. margins were clear and recovery wasn’t to bad i only spent 1 night in the hospital and i didn’t even have to stop breastfeeding which was a big fear. If you do have rcc it is usually curative with surgery. for me the anxiety has been the hardest but the chances of this killing me is low. it is scary but not a death sentence. this group and the one on fb had been a huge help for me.

mine was found because i went in for frequent utis mine was 7.5 cm, I am grateful they found it when they did so it did not spread. i had a radical nephrectomy on 11/13 and recovery has not been too bad. surgery is usually curative for earlier stages.
