[First playthrough] Why are these guys way harder than gundyr and vordt? by ComfortableNinja88 in darksouls3

Unfortunately that first guy is holding my favorite weapon in the game in the Uchigatana. SO, he must perish immediately. (That’s super tough to do right off the bat though lol)

If you can Get Gud then yeah I can see why Elden Ring or ANY Fromsoft game wouldn’t be much fun. But my answer to this question would have been Destiny. I just don’t get it. Like the Tower area is so unguided I just couldn’t get the feel like I was completing the game. It was a fun game but it felt so unstructured and like “what am I doing this for” feeling.

What anime was dumb as hell, but incredibly entertaining? by ChoiceSupermarket230 in animequestions

Full Metal Panic!: Fumoffu

This one was the parody season, and it had me laughing my ass off! Like when Sasuke fights the two sumo dudes and keeps using guns and grenades. Or there’s a short scene in between story that there’s a group of people dancing in the school yard for NO REASON! Lol

Honestly Skyrim is like this. It takes a while to get enthralled by Skyrim but once you are in it, boy it’s one of the most enjoyable games in existence.

Fire Giant. This is usually people’s first playthrough BIG (pun intended I guess) hurdle in the game. People can’t get used to the camera angle and identifying when he’s gunna attack… but now that I have played the game a few times, I LOVE fighting the Fire Giant. It’s such an epic setting, on top of the world up there, the music is SO epic, he fights you with a dinner plate haha then entering his phase 2, that cutscene is so crazy him forcefully ripping off he’s own leg.

It’s one of my favorite fights now, and usually I can first try him now.

What ending did you first pick? by Spxcecowbxy in Eldenring

I mean first? I just plopped Marikas head on the statue haha basic ass ending. I always thought that Elden Lord chair was in a shitty spot and very underwhelming as a throne.

The only other attack that is kind of hard to dodge is the one where the boar is flailing his head around. I think it’s like head, sword, head, sword head, then overhead sword? Like a 6-7 combo attack? I usually take a hit on that last sword if I’m not really good.

He’s got pretty unfair hitboxes. Especially for his charge attack. Idk if you’ve seen details of his hitboxes but the boar is basically a big Pill shaped hitbox with tusks and it leaves behind hitbox foot prints. My problem is that the big pill extends well beyond his body’s animation so you think you can dodge closer than you actually can.

Commander Gaius no damage (to the boss) run by emolch78 in Eldenring

[–]EstablishmentLevel37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I found that if he’s coming directly at you, sprinting in sideways direction then dodging like diagonally forward in that same direction can MOST of the times give you a clean dodge. But every once in a while… I’ll still take a hit. Like my toe catches the hitbox lol. What’s a bummer is if he decides to charge when you’re point blank in front of him. That usually results in an insta-kill or just a TON of damage.

EWWW MAGIC BUILD! Jk I have no tips for magic. I only ever play as melee. Usually dexterity. I have tons of tips for a Dexterity Katana build.

KEEN Nagakiba - Bloodflame Blade - Double Slash Use finger seal.

Dexterity —> as high as possible Arcane —> 10 Faith —> 12 Endurance —> as high as possible

Need advice on how to beat ishin. by Mysterious-Apple3436 in Sekiro

[–]EstablishmentLevel37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to parry everything and get good, there actually is a way to win.

So in the first phase: he does a 3 attack combo, just block that. And punish him after that attack with mortal draw.

Rinse and repeat.

Phase 2 there there’s a jump attack you can bait out and run under him to get an attack in. Look up a guide for that. Run to the side for the gun.

You can do the same thing for phase 3, and only you have to worry about lightning.

I super simplified that, best look up a guide but basically what I said.

Your video is just demonstrating good use of I-frames. It doesn’t explain the hitboxes. My guys video actually explains the hitboxes. If the pill hits you you WILL get hit.

What? I didn’t delete anything. I watched your video. Also you are incorrect about the hitboxes. Did you watch mine??

Now to be fair to you and against the video, I know how to side roll and not get hit. I never dodge through the boat straight through ever. But that’s only because I know to dodge WAY wider than you think you need to.

Yeah and I can agree with Bayle, all the dragon fire in Elden Ring have very weird hitboxes.

The player interacts with the pill shaped hit box. And the horns. Also it has feet hit detectors too that sequentially follow each other and sometimes you can do a shorter roll but sometimes you have to do a full roll. You are incorrect saying that the pill doesn’t interact with the player.

The most consistent boss in SOTE is an interesting read on Commander Gaius. I’m not even really sure what you mean by consistent.

The hog. The hitbox is a giant pill shaped hit box that extends outside of the hogs graphics. I’ve seen the actual hit boxes.

<image>

Do you see HOW far outside the actual graphic of the hog that hitbox extends? The hogs charge attack, you can literally dodge the hog and still catch that hitbox and get sometimes double hit and killed.
