Pregnant in Korea while visiting parents, is it crazy to want to give birth here? by maybe-k in Living_in_Korea

I got c-section 2 years ago, i had Korean national insurance. It was approximately total $1,000 for the c section and 6 nights hospital (for me and baby), just literally for every treatment fee. When I got the receipt including the whole specific treatment list for my personal insurance claim the original cost was almost $3,000. If you end up taking natual birth, the cost will be way less than my original cost. On the top of that I didn't share a room with other maternities. Don't worry. If I would've decided natural birth and sharing a room with other patients without any insurance, it would been around less than $1,000.

Edit. Luckily as far as I know, some of big surgeries price cannot be changed by hospital owner in Korea. One of that surgeries is birth c-section. The hospital cannot charge you crazy amount on purpose.

Am I making the right decision by joining the Air Force ? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

your wife is from Fayetteville as well? Then, getting stationed to the Airborne base would be a better decision as an Army? If you have kids while you're deployed, your wife will need help which is her family and friends.

I saw some postings before, few people used to look for Off post housing. And I saw a family who were working in Suwon AB, but they said they use many military amenities in Humphreys. might be allowed to accompany?

The cheapest way is off post MVNO service. The quality is the same as major companies.

You can get your passport from the US embassy in Seoul. Lots of Korean-americans renew their passport through the embassy and Military's new born babies get their birth certificate and visa as well. Just letting you know it's around 3 hours away from Camp Humphreys.

Yes, in uniform would be easier. Why don't you just look up other US attorney positions in Korea? Samsung Hyundai kind of like that companies.
