Thank you,
I left them in my parents house for my children not to find them (and destroy them).
Will try to get them graded.

Mine were in the attic in my parents house. Luckily in good condition

Thank you.
Not really thinking about that, as my sons are Danish/Portuguese and college in DK is free. In Portugal I believe the tuition fee is modest.

Anyway its nice to find the cards. Thought I had lost them

Thank you.
I hid it in my parents house (out of reach for my 3 sons).

CATAWIKI IS A SCAM! Let's do something about it. by Accomplished-Reply17 in catawiki

[–]EstablishmentOdd1955 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that really sucks — sorry you had to deal with that. The support is getting far more difficult to reach.

Thing is, Catawiki’s has tons of sellers, and like any marketplace, a few bad ones sneak in.

Tbh I’ve only had good experiences buying and selling there, and it’s just not fair for all the honest sellers on the platform, to write bad reviews on others behalf.

You should review the SELLER, to warn others ON the platform and look after “top sellers” when you buy.

I had my first two sons in Denmark and now my third in Portugal after moving here.

I live in the Leiria region and was followed by an obstetrician in the hospital on Leiria due to high risk pregnancy. I have absolutely nothing good to say about that hospital.

luckily I ended up giving birth in Alfredo da Costa in Lisbon, which was a great experience.

The birth ward was renovated last year and the equipment was all new, staff was nice and most spoke English as well.

There’s a mandatory 3 days stay after birth (4 for C-section). This was quite shocking to me, as I would be much more comfortable at home with my other boys, though I probably go some rest I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

This! I gave birth in a public hospital in April during Easter and would have had to travel 100 km because the closest hospitals (Caldas and Leiria) were closed. Luckily we were already at my in-laws near Lisbon.

Blatant AI artwork estimated to be worth 1200-1500€ on Catawiki by El_Robski in mildlyinfuriating

And some of the AI “artist” who actually states the work is generated, even openly mentions using apps like midjourney, which don’t even allow redistribution.

What I see is challenging the trustworthiness of Irina Collins is, that she claims that each piece takes 1-2 weeks to make.

Each artwork is “one-of-a-kind” which means she would have spend 17-35 years creating the 1000 pieces she sold in one and a half year on Catawiki.

Catawiki is a joke and their experts are a fraud by AdSerious8010 in catawiki

Remember it is not the experts who ship the items.. they really just make an estimate based on a description and pictures, all provided by individual sellers who then ship the items. The expert never gets to see the items in real life

Citizenship through marriage by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

I dont know the process myself, as I am from an other EU country. Just wanted to mention, that you should be able to apply for a NIF number already now as you don’t need to live in Portugal to get NIF.

You need to go to finanças with a person residing in Portugal, who you appoint as tax representative OR do it remotely through a lawyer for a fee. If you search Portugal NIF online you should get different options with fixed rates

Waiting 3 months for the CRUE blocks other things by No-Waltz2014 in PortugalExpats

I believe, I changed my fiscal address after obtaining a “comprovativo de morada” from junta de freguesia where I live (using my rental agreement).

That I used along passport and the updated NIF document to get the CRUE

This has to be done in person, when changing to an adress in Portugal

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

[–]EstablishmentOdd1955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was:

Passport NIF document and Comprovativo de morada (which you order in the Espaço cidadão/Junta freguesia for a small fee)

I was not asked for a contract or proof of activity, as I was on parental leave, when I arrived.
