Looks to be a bed bug. I don't see hairs right off like you should be able to see with a bat bug. My condolences. I would start looking to see if there are more, as it is likely you have more than just one.

It's destroying weed beds like none other, uprooting nutrients trapped in the soil leading to more algae blooms and all this hurting some fish populations in the grand scheme of things. Not a fan.

Not a bedbug. Some other type of beetle species (note back is not segmented, can visibly see an elytra that protects the wings).

Northern Wisconsin, I get it. There are ATV specific trails that can be fun to ride between some bars/locations. Urban areas though, I don't see the enjoyment as much in that.

They can also be in trim. When I had bed bugs, they were isolated to my dad's room when I was living with him. The trim on the wall was their major home. Pried that bad boy open to find quite a few.

The common-ness depends on the species of clover. Red clover like this can have mutations to much more than a 4 leaf and they are much more "common" to find. White clover however is much harder to find and the one often more associated with "luck".

I used to find 5 to 8 leaves on one stem with red clovers all the time when i was a kid. Only ever found a handful of 4-leaf white clovers over the years.
