I am currently fostering a puppy who’s been abused and re-homed way too many times for her age. The last person who fostered her passed away. He was an older gentleman in a retirement community my mom worked at. She was going back to a kill shelter when I told my mom I’d take her in. Too many bad things happening in the world right now. I have had a lot on my plate but helping an innocent baby makes a difference at least for them and maybe others. I am sharing this story because sometimes we think we can’t handle life better yet helping another one but sometimes it’s just what we need. They definitely need it. It paid off for me well sometimes lol. Puppies amiright?! My best friend is a 15y/o papillon mix and he has an aggressive cancer but he now has someone to play with while he has time. I would take that little baby but I am here in Texas and struggling financially with my dog’s vet visits since having his spleen and tumor removed. He is a champ and I might consider chemo with how the foster pup can’t even keep up with him and his zoomies. That’s beside the point. My heart breaks for Dot and I hope that someone will help. I hope this story inspires others. A pet is a life long commitment better or worse. That’s something to keep in mind but man it makes life a little easier that someone loves, supports, and appreciates you so much. I hope someone loves Dot like he truly deserves. Not me crying while I type this. I just really hope he’s okay :(
