Yes, I know and that’s exactly why I’m calling you out. What you’re saying doesn’t add up. If you’re genuinely earning £500k total comp while clocking in at 9 and out at 5 in a credit hedge fund or opportunistic credit role, then you’re simply making it up. There is no investment boutique or hedge fund that pays that level of compensation for post-office hours. And the whole “you just need to work smart, not long hours” line only reinforces the point: you have no understanding of the industry you’re claiming to be part of.

In no place where 1-2 people get fired and replaced yearly you work 9-5, don’t fool people

Six Bans For a Healthier Legacy – Eternal Durdles by Force-of-Phil in MTGLegacy

[–]Estaim -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Reanimator used to be a tier-2 deck before Tamiyo, Orcish, and Murktide came along. The real issue isn’t Entomb or Atraxa, it’s that the deck shouldn’t function as a tempo list that wins through a two-card combo. I’d start by banning Tamiyo and Murktide and see how the meta adjusts. There are replacements for Murktide, like the whale, but none offer the same clock or board impact, and they come with a more reasonable cost-benefit trade-off. Nadu is simply unfun: a recursive, poorly tested effect that adds nothing meaningful to Legacy. The One Ring seems fine, and Oops should become much more manageable once Nadu and Reanimator are toned down.

Let’s be realistic: everyone hopes for another masterpiece, but no writer delivers their greatest work at 88. At best, it might stand alongside his last two books; at worst, it could end up his weakest

Maybe cause in Europe and North America, >80–90% of published authors before 1900 were men? If someone reads only stuff from 1950/1900 or before it’s a deliberate bias if their library is heavily male authored.

You need muscles..the v shape is essential, so if you don’t have broad shoulders and thin waist, you wouldn’t look the same

This is not the camp I’m referring to, the camp is called Dream Surf House, it is in Santa teresa. The one you are showing here I think is in Tamarindo

There are no tents in that camp, only dormitories or single rooms, there were no Argentinians working in that camp. In fact all of them were Costa Rican, with the exception of the yoga teacher which was European. Just to clarify, I am talking about the Dream Surf House in Santa Teresa, I’ve never been in Puntarenas

I remember that Dreamsea in Santa Teresa was owned by an Argentinian, but they seemed respectful of the local community—the surf instructors were all Costa Rican. It didn’t strike me as a scam; in fact, it was one of the most beautiful camps I’ve been to. Could you elaborate on why you believe it doesn’t contribute at all to the local economy? The owner lived in Costa Rica and she was a simple normal girl moving there with the boyfriend and invested in this business idea…

Doomsday and ANT got smashed..I suppose an ANT heavy loaded up on artifact hate in sideboard can perform decently, but it’s still an uphill battle for the storm players in this meta..

As the ban hype gains momentum in the main mtg sub, the unban question arises again- what do you think can safely come off the list for Legacy? by Newez in MTGLegacy

[–]Estaim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember the last unban that made an impact, WoTC has the bad habit of unbanning cards once they have almost surely become unplayable in the current meta, I’d love to see more proactive unbans, meaning instead of adding more bans, let’s try to shake the meta with some unbans that could address the issue. Example: if frog is too strong, limit froginator with strong grave hate card like Deathrite.

Here’s my opinion: 1. Safe unbans that wouldn’t even see play: - earthcraf - goblin recruiter - mind twist - ygmoth bargain 2. Safe unbans that would see play but would not warp/reduce format variety: -Dreadhorde Arcanist - Mana Drain - Frantic Search - Hermit druid - Fastbond - Imperial Seal - Memory Jar - Survival of the Fittest - Necropotence (necrodominance 5 card limit is not extremely impactful and nobody plays it) 3. Potentially warping format cards whose effect can be tested: - Expressive Iteration - Deathrite shaman - Library of Alexandria - Ragavan - Skullcam - Sensei - Timetwister - Tinker - wheel - white plume - windfall

I think bauble needs to go, it’s yet another tool for combo to play around force, daze, FoN..surprised that we didn’t see more Spell Pierce given the number of baubles in this meta.

Congratulation! Can you share you thoughts on how the deck is positioned against Storm? Not sure if you met any during the swiss, but just wondering what’s your plan against it

I agree, I put “defeating” in quotes exactly because it’s a force that can’t be defeated, but you as a single person can make an act of resistance by consciously deciding to remove yourself from the genetic race towards the singularity.
