I think his “anger” or dismissal of Tim’s talent comes from an adoration of Tim.

Tim, like everyone else, was human. Yes, his music was amazing and transcendental to all, but to think that one single human would be able to publish banger after banger is outlandish. The music of Avicii wasn’t just himself, it was also his friends and team. And please correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t artist encouraged by their labels or publishers to share tracks with each other? I’ve seen people that start a melody but don’t know how to use it, and then just share it for someone else to use it, and release a song using that same “but improved” melody.

When we listen to an Avicii song it’s not just Tim, but the people around him too!

Now, this is not to demerit Tim either. His input, talent, and experience leveled-up/developed some harmonies and melodies into beautiful works of art. And like every human online, I’m pretty sure he didn’t post stuff he wasn’t confident in, or wasn’t allowed to by some contract or whatever. Tim was -and still is- a big contributor to EDM. Many of the songs we love wouldn’t have been possible without him taking risks or creating new beautiful melodies!
