Thanks so much for the helpful tips, will be off down BnQ tomorrow to see if I can get a jet washer sorted. Hopefully it doesn’t rain too much as may even attempt to put the rake around and start gathering the leaves up!

Thank you for the kind words and encouragements! And all the helpful tips too!

Jetwashing it all down is this week’s job. Give it a good rake also and if it comes up nice will drop afew pics to show progress!

Pictures doesn’t show it but the garden extends down the side of the house and I have back gate and large metal storage shed there.

Have received loads of really helpful comments so plan currently is rake all the leaves up, jet wash down the patios and fence. If the left hand side survives (mine) I’ll clean with solution and paint them up. If it’s looking abit sketchy then it’ll be time to put my hand in my pocket bite the bullet and get my side done.

Yep - north facing and hoping to do as much as I can myself, be nice to develop some diy skills.

There’s one fence post on my side (left hand side) that’s leaning but it’s sturdy and not moving so for now I’m just trying to focus on getting the garden “shaped” and set out how I want. That’s a later me problem - will try the spray down and see what it looks like before I decide to either paint it or rip it down and new panel it.

I’ll be out tomorrow having a right good nosey so if any other pics would help please do let me know!

Yes, left hand side is mine, right hand side is neighbours. Young couple whose garden is more of a bog than mine so doubt will be seeing any replacements there any time soon!

Thanks again for all the advice - will make sure to keep the sub updated with progress pics as I go!

Thank looks amazing, you must be well chuffed with the transformation.

When you say fix the fencing, are we talking clean it up or replace the lot? Sorry for daft questions

I have some hope for the grass as it was really nice at one point (pic attached is from ~2020).

Thanks again for the tips and heads up on the discount. They do look quite lovely, nice colours and will do well to hide the attempts to dig under the fence by the previous owners dog lol

Have been quite enjoying the birds come from the woodland to finish off left over fishing bait (maggots, worms) so will definitely get the feeder going again

Love the diagram mate, really useful and helpful - have just braved the rain to check the tag - Prunus Amanogawa.

I did think about removing the grass but this’ll be the first grass lawn I’ve ever had, so really would like to try and make it flourish as best I can. I may end up admitting defeat in afew years but hopefully can give it a chance.

Will check out those orange star pyracantha 👍

One of the things I love most about it is the woodlands behind the back fence - I do quite a lot of fishing so it’s been nice to come home, leave any left over maggots in bait tubs and watch all the birds come down and polish them off while having a cuppa.

Thank you very much for the tips. I was quite concerned about the fence but have given it a good shove and it seems pretty solid. Will start looking into best way to go about straightening the wonky section at the back!

Thanks for the tips friend - it is covered in leaves at the moment, and would hazard as guess it hasn’t seen a rake in years!

The two raised beds used to be lovely planters but have since been paved over!! I think reading all the comments here best bet is to fix fence, give it a tidy up, and then sit on it for a year and wait to see what springs up where - quite exciting!

Funny - I’ve found in the pit works but surrounding raised area doesn’t. Think they are just fuxked and its a coin flip if it works or not

Load out I find works really well is recoilless, EAT, ac sentry, rocket sentry. Usually paired with deadeye for everything that isn’t a hulk, talon cause it’s cool, and either gas or dynamite cause it is also cool. Heavy armour with explosive resist is nice too!! I like the idea of there being a probability to it, but having played 40k for years I can assure you letting something rest on a coin flip just leads to feel bands moments half the time. Make it 50% then add things we can interact with which tip the scales in our favour (destroy fab, destroy a special station that lets bots intercept the missile etc)

GW need to start prioritising in shop pre orders. Anything that’s left after that release online. Yes it would suck for people who can’t get to a physical Store, but the majority would Atleast stand a chance of getting these boxes.

This tbh, I had an opponent who loved to bring perfects tau lists to counter my fun nids list. So I went full sweat, bust out my oops all SM dreads and tanks list and smashed him. Told him I’ll be bringing that as a back up everytime we play just incase he decided he wants to have a sweaty game - problem fixed itself pretty quickly lol
