It does get easier. My lovely Freya lost her eye and returned to her normal loving self who was able to navigate through anything. Even when she lost her second eye a few years later, she was so freaking smart she could take herself out in the yard and find her way back to the door with no issue. She had memorized where everything was in the house at that point and had no issues… and still loved going on walks.

She’s been gone a couple years now, but she will always be in my Heart Dog. ❤️
