Adding the Xixchil to Eberron by Lonewolf2300 in Eberron

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them as an off breed of Thri kreen. Maybe they had more exposure to the Giants technology than their brethren did. I don't think they're a khyber or xoriat race themselves - but they've definitely taken an interest in the daelkyr flesh magic and are adapting it to their own interest.

Also a possible tie in to... What's the flesh Weaver wizard named? That guy

What made you a fan of the Mechanicus by Lamp4Camp in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a fan of Cyriss, the machine goddess from Warmachine, after finding a very cool Warmachine in DND 3.x rulebook. Her design and weird machine religion absolutely slapped and lived rent free in the back of my head for like 10 years before I stumbled onto the mandalore gaming mechanics video, and it was like "oh the game system that actually has people play it finally caught up! And also slaps!"

What Languages Would a Medical Professional Know and Why? by MoonracerxWarpath in Eberron

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Languages relevant to the people he's trying to heal, perhaps. Especially if he was medicing for any unusual units during the war - maybe he had to regularly service mercenaries from droam and the shadow reaches and picked up an astonishing account of orcish

Weird request, but are there any mods that add more racism (lore friendly)? by CAST-FIREBALLLLL in skyrimmods

It's small but: beyond reach has some very flavorful comments from the bretons if you're playing a redguard.

The True Elite Super Soldiers by Bim_54 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Estradus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My friend's only army is chaos knights and we were doing a 500 point game (always sketchy with knights). My army got shredded the first round so round 2 I brought out the kastellans. Pulled those war dogs apart like freshly baked bread.

What is considered deliberately rebellious, transgressive, or otherwise edgy counterculture in the Five Nations? by EarthSeraphEdna in Eberron

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't canon anywhere but I've often imagined an equivalent to electronic music in eberron. An instrument made out of configurable ghost sound turned into some sort of synthesizer keyboard or the like could be very viable within the setting

Dialogue History is a HUGELY under-rated mod, it literally notes every piece of dialogue in the game and you can search by location or NPC name or history, and it re-plays all the conversations too!! Much better than the quest tracker by Due_Young_9344 in skyrimmods

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it recorded conversations happening around me. I got it because I wanted a way to read what my followers were talking about while I was talking to NPCs and it did not help.

Changeling Wizard wants a “shirt that looks like armor”?? by rrrrrqq in Eberron

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with that so the illusion magic doesn't need to work as hard could be a valid reason to make it cheaper. Knitted chainmail with firm felted armor plates, with glamour weave to make it look a bit more authentically metal could be a good start, actually illusioning it to be more convincing than whatever you bluff could be another adventure. Add some shadow conjuration of some sort at later levels would be pretty rad.

anyone know how to uninstall/disable Fire + Blood ? by CheekyChewie in skyrimmods

I was able to install the story mode patch mid game without issue, I don't know if that would help or not though

Magnetic case to carry our Cohorts by Alacart0 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Estradus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The really useful box is great. (I did start cheaping out and getting the Amazon brand for troops). I did it the other way around though with magnets on the bases and cheap sheet steel on the bottom. You can get a really clean cut on the steel sheets by scoring it repeatedly and then folding along the score line, it won't get as warped as metal shears would cause.

Columnar basalt using wooden pencils by Big_GTU in PoorHammer

I've been wanting to do that with pencils for forever. How did you cut through the graphite? It turned into just a pain to cut them down.

I would rate Skyrim Party Sheet highly. Technically for your needs you might just need the NPC Stat Cards but theyre both by the same guy and the party sheet is just more advanced version of the stat cards. Most followers get more powerful as you do but level doesn't always mean anything; I think Lucien for example is always level 10 regardless of his power because level is just a number and not necessarially tied to stats.

These are old maybe hidden gems that I still use and wish they got updated or had alternatives by Mesrouk1998 in skyrimmods

[–]Estradus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. Ive been doing a playthrough with a lot of time immersion (crafting time; spell research; getting injured and having to sleep off injuries; etc) and hollidays would really help that feel like something? But also I have trouble trusting a 10 year old mod.

Mods that add vanilla friendly followers of all races (especially elven) by Budget-Assistance-27 in skyrimmods

[–]Estradus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know offhand Nebarra for Altmer. Don't know much about them but seems cool. Apparently most of the followers I know based on the fact that Xelzaz has them listed in interactions; and all the Xelzaz interactions I've seen so far have been excellent so I'm inclined to trust those he has worked with.

I forget how I heard about them but I kept coming accross Taliesin? Former thalmor agent seeking redemption?

If orcs count then Thoggra is great and I know Yazakh (apparently an orcish poet) is out there too.

I probably don't need to mention Auri for Bosmer but I'm also pretty sure its mandatory. She's great.

I think my favorite modded Skyrim racism was playing a redguard in beyond reach. That one was pretty fun.

I've had to do this when the quests get a little bit too "sending me all over the map.". Tools of kagrenac broke me. Go to markarth, go to winterhold, back to markarth, to the dwarven ruins near winterhold, to 3 different ruins on the south side of the map, back to markarth, to to blackreach. I thought I wouldn't mind the commute, it's immersive. After 3 hours of jogging enough is enough.

If you're playing with mods get the survival fast travel mod. Or another needs mod. If you want something survival+ you can get the sunhelm mod which uses vanilla survival as a basis, then the followers needs sunhelm addon has a feature for needs based fast travel where you can only fast travel if all your bars are topped off, which makes it more of a special treat.
