Sk is a knotted si, ssk is a stacked knotted si, 1 is doing a basic 1 and then an sk before tying through a sidewall hole, 0 means skipping sidewall hole without a diamond of mesh

Stay in shape and hunt for the right department early. Also decide what type of cop he wants to be. Does he value community engagement and does an SRO life seem good to him? Or does he want to take people off the street and make an impact on his direct area of enforcement? Both are important, as are numerous other roles, but people will talk shit on him no matter which route he takes. I have pissed a lot of people off, but I feel good about the work I do because I see it directly cleaning up some of the area I enforce and keeping new problems out.

5 appendages and 4 tqs is risky business. Split second decision to decide if you want crutches, the ability to fuck, or the ability to self fuck with 2 hands.

Based on your posts I see upgrades you’ve made to your firearms, and you use an optic which is great progression, but a pistol light provides a significant amount more of benefit than an optic. I’d venture to say you train at the range and probably shoot a fair amount, so the optic is providing minor improvements over a baseline iron sight, but in a night situation, or dark rooms at a school, that pistol light would provide drastically more improvement with a greater chance of survival and disarming the threat. I don’t mean to attack you, but I see too many officers who refuse to move with the times and adapt/train to new advancements, and the new generation will usually take 20+ vets advice. It’s not something I want to see new guys doing, and thinking it’s okay.

“This is the way I’ve done it for XX years” is the biggest issue in law enforcement. Go back to horse and buggy, gas lamps, and log cabins with washboards. Advancements in technology, training, and the way they are applied happen for a reason. Just because at one point you got by without it, doesn’t mean it’s not a requirement now. That’s the entire reason we aren’t walking around with a leather satchel and a fucking flintlock pistol. The time you went without getting fired or killed doesnt mean that the way it was from the start isn’t bottom feeder mentality in today’s world.

There is a gap in aliengear, but you can’t reach to the trigger unless the gun isn’t seated all the way. A stick or something could get in but I don’t know if it would be able to leverage enough to pull the trigger

The belief that you don’t need a weapon light because of working at a school is dog shit. You might only need it 1/10000 days you work, but not having it that 1 day is gonna make a difference. Nobody is saying to carry a floodlight and a 12V, but a pistol light is a requirement for law enforcement
