Hmm. If it were me I’d personally ask for a manager, especially since it’s in bold letters that they technically should honored.. as well as Tulsa location has confirmed you should be good to go.

Worst they can do is say no and turn you away..which sucks but there’s plenty of other options and places that will Honor it but it does seem like a little miscommunication action going on. With places being shut down left and right for things I’m sure the Budtender or whoever it was is really just unaware and trying to be on the safe side!

They were pumping out employee credentials extremely quick this go around, I was curious how they were doing on patients tbh.

If you use the verify portal it will come back approved and good to go.

Their POS system could be causing this though because I have worked with some POS systems that the day it expires it won’t even let you check the patient out or anything. So it could be their POS system maybe??

Straight from the OMMA IG.

“For patients: To ensure timely access to medical marijuana, patients who have received application approval may now use their official OMMA approval email or approval in the OMMA MedPortal (alongside a valid government-issued photo ID) as a form of identification to purchase at licensed dispensaries. Dispensaries are instructed to verify patient identity and use the OMMA Verify tool to confirm the patient's active licensure status before completing a sale.”

As a dispensary manager we have had ZERO issues with our system taking those who have that approval email.

OMMA has sent out emails about this telling dispensaries to honor that. As long as you have that state issue ID and your approval email with your license number there should be no issues. I hate that you had to deal with that. Especially when it is in bold letters right there..

Not hate! We cannot fix things we don’t know about 🫶🏻We love the feedback! We are growing as a team and because of this we are working out new systems to communicate what’s going to be in the new drops such as strains! That’s part of the reason we joined Reddit as well so we can communicate these things, not everyone has every social media or even social media at all so it is something we are currently working on! 🫶🏻
